Norton released a new heuristic search that flags NMM as a false positive now. The release was made 2 days ago so I assume you've received this virus alert over the past 2 days as your own copy of Norton has updated itself.

 

So is the fact that is brings up a specific threat just bug or something? I get really paranoid when I see things like that appear on my screen. I'm overprotective of my computer, and things like that seem awfully suspicious (no pun intended).

just thought i'd post in a status update on the norton's SC9 (suspicious.cloud.9)

by the looks of it, its been resolved just tried using NNM and joy be told no pop up come ...(or at least for me)...

just for good measure i keept opening and closing NMM in 25 second interval (which is roughly when it come up before)

for roughly 5 times... or more,,, i kinda lost count because of some loud noice outside my apartment...

...call it 5 to 10 times,   how about ya'll?   <touch wood> no more problems for you lot aswell

The problem is that you're using Norton in the first place

nah but really nortons not that bad, ive been using it for over 10...16 year now?

not been hacked once,,,but had pc killing viruses twice... (but the 2nd was due to me deleting the user profiles, but in nortons defence i was trying to get rid of the TEMP.<User/pc>.001 , 002, 003's that something was doing)

 

<p.s> nice baldurs gate quote there   ""i have become death, destroyer of worlds"", only prob i can never work out which one says it, one of the voice sets or Xzar...least i pinned it down to one of them 2

It's actually a really popular quote. I believe it originated from Hindu mythology in which the Goddess Shiva said it whom was the goddess associated with disaster or something I think. Lol

baldurs gate is one of THE GREATEST medievil/fantasy RPG's out there!!! its a classic!!!
in my opinion its the greatest dungeon and dragons system game ever, skyrims good dont get me wrong but i think it cant hold a candle to the baldurs gate series (you get the best exp if you play from bg1 and playthought to bg2 throne of bhaal,
the baldurs gate enhanced edition is a great improve high-res'ing of the first and theres talk that bg2 is gonna get a remake (which i cant wait for)

cool, i not long since bought skyrim too, only prob i've been downloading god knows how many mods before i get into the game, also, is there anyway to turn of acheveiments for a while till i get into the game, because i kinda get one or two of them while testing the mods.... XD

mmm i think its because our expectation of games are to high now compaired to the good old days,

i remember installing BG1 a few days ago, and looked at the HUD - and thought to myself... eww everythings all bunched up then on BG2 - was like mm now thats better ,

 

illl give BG:EE its due, its a lot more challenging even on the easyest setting, the kobalds are managing to get me to near-death,, so its makes you REALLY have to plan out your tactics - which i TOTALLY love
