This utility rocks (on xp at least)
Please help someone! I've installed windows 7 64bit ultimate. Oblivion is running fine. Obmm (in phyton language) is running fine. I just can't get wrye bash to start, it won't even create a bug report. The following article
http://www.uesp.net/...sh/Installation
was of no help to me.
Has anybody a solution.

From what people go around saying this seems like a good utility.
Personally i just want it because Weather-All Natural requires it.
I cant get it to start however, and from what ive read, its overly complicated to understand and get to run.
So i'll pass.

You do need this for some mods to work but frankly, unless you're very familiar with technospeak, I wouldn't bother. If someone ever comes up with a simple, plain language explanation and operation manuel, I'd be the first to get it, but somehow, I don't think it's going to happen. It's my ignorance, I'll be the first to admit, but it almost seems as if it's deliberately obscure. Like I said, unless you're well advanced in computer operation and technical procedures, just avoid the mods that need it. Otherwise, prepare for a steep learning curve which you may drop off! I won't even rate it, I'm too ignorant!!!!

Wrye Bash is just G-R-E-A-T! The true work of a genius! I managed to get some mods running together, which would otherwise conflict with each other.
BUT: I had to figure everything out just by trial and error and by searching the internet for some few and rather esoteric explanations. There is a very extensive readme included in the package, but to someone not quite familiar with the basics, its explanations seem quite obscure in many aspects. Just when it starts to get interesting for the beginner, it refers to the Wrye Bash-webpage, which unfortunately is down for quite some time now.
So I get the suspicion too, that there seems to be something like a sworn community which is deliberately hiding its "Herrschaftswissen" from the public. :-)
Give Wrye Bash to the people, NOW!!!!

Doesn't work. No matter what I try, I can't get mods (bain mods!) to show up in the installers tab, all tutorials either don't mention anything about this sort of problem or are not there at all (http://wrye.ufrealms.net/, huh?). The whole thing just looks like messy bloatware.

It actually doesn't look all that difficult to learn, but it's unnecessarily difficult when we don't get any sort of readme or guide to learn it (all the links to the main guides on wyre's site are dead links). Does anyone know when/if the site will be brought back online, or the information made public again?

Hmm, one major bug to mention : the 272 version (with the .exe installer) worked flawlessly, but since 273, for both versions (manual and .exe) when i click on Wrye Bash Launcher file, nothing happens anymore. And when i install back the 272 version, boom! it works again!
Any fix to that ?

I don't recall a problem with 273, but I'm seeing similar problems with 274. Firing up a console and running it there reports
:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "Wrye Bash Launcher.pyw", line 56, in <module>
import bosh, basher
File "C:\Games\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Mopy\basher.py", line 57, in <module>
import win32api
ImportError: No module named win32api
Have the installation requirements changed?
(Running on Windows 7 64 bit)
