Yeah, the attacking army sometimes doesn't charge and you have to "prime" them. Usually they should eventually, however. The reason why the barriers fail is I have them set to automatically fail based on a timer because if you siege an area more than once the barricades don't reset properly and the AI can't get past the first objective.

As for catapult fire - I have the ability to aim them, not sure if I want to. They fire at places that are most likely to make things look epic and be fun, not to be realistic.

the only way to do civil war with alt start is either by starting the MQ or doing the soldier start

I was thinking more switch off the one coming from Dragonsreach so only the Stormcloak catapults fire.

I can't make the fighting continue in the city on defense, I originally planned to include the Escaping the City quest, but had to scrap it for time and compatibility reasons. That door's staying locked. Not sure what to do about the fast travel to dragonsreach - that kind of breaks everything(balgruuf won't step down until you leave the city on defense).

Also you need to be patient after losing a quest. Your character is not telepathic, somebody needs to tell him that the stormcloaks are attacking. give it time and somebody will.

v1.02 changes it so that you don't make the opposing side hostile till you take the oath.

I'm definitely going to try this out, looks epic, and I like the overall idea, and cynicism towards Bethesda. Plus that was one of the funniest descriptions I've ever read. Two thumbs up in my book.
