I am playing a Nord, custom class. He is one of the best charactors I have made yet. Since having the game, I have not joined the Morag Tong until now. I have been told that I screwed up, because you are not supposed to join the Morag Tong before becoming the Navarine, because you kill people that are crucial to your quest and ruin your reputation. Is this true? If so, this sux because I have spent a long time on this charactor (hear the violins play).
Have I screwed up?

I donīt think you did
I havenīt finished the game yet but it would be kinda stupid if u couldnīt join the morag tong until after u became nerevarine.
My most advanced caracter is almost becoming nerevarine heīs menber of morag tong and i haventīt found any problem.
ps: Be careful about who you kill, ask about the background of the people that youīre about to kill, if they respond commoner they probably arenīt needed for main quest.
pps: if you kill someone thatīs important for the main quest line you get a message saying that you canīt complete the maain quest line.

from what i remember the developers of the game were very careful to not to have writs on people that are necessary for you to complete the main quest. i know because i was grandmaster of the morag tong and then became nerevarine.
you're safe, don't worry, sit back and get ready to slaughter some people who deserve it.

I'm pretty sure also that you didn't screw up by joining the Morag Tong. The only conflict that I have heard of is if you become the grandmaster before completing some of the main quest. If you are the grandmaster of the Morag Tong, I think that Huleeya might not talk to you when you are sent to gather information from him/her/it. That is the only thing I have heard of.
On another note, once you do complete the MQ, and are grandmaster, you get all new grandmaster writs which you can't get until the main quest is complete.

This is good news! Thank you so much, I was hoping I didn't have to start over. My Nord has developed quite a reputation. Good people like him, others are intimidated B) . He's only level 11, but has 97 strenght, 56 acrobatics, and hi alteration, conjuration, and secturity. Plus I am using the Bloodscal
Only time he gets knocked down is when I accidentally stumbled into Red Mountain, where I got slaughtered. I guess I am not meant to be there yet...

Morag Tong definitely has the most fun quests: killing noobs. Plus you can do the Sanguine items quest. Just present your writs, and if you stole good items drop them before you talk to the guards then pick them up afterwards.
