... One chaotic thing I can imagine, but question first:

Under the data files, do you see multiple .esm files?
Skyrim.esm
Dawnguard.esm
Update.esm
Hearthfire.esm
Dragonborn.esm
?

Hi i have the same problem here, almost non of my mod work in legendary edition and i have 5 ESM files... r a problem with that?

I just bought the Legendary Edition. Realised that there is no data folder. Where should I copy the mod files to?

Yes, Ive watched those tutorial vides but it is still not working.  When I try to use Nexus to recognize the data file from SKSE it refuses to do so.  I click add file and it says it was successful but when I look at my plugins, it is not listed.  When I started up Skyrim SKSE, according to the video, I get the message SKSE error.  HOw do you get Nexus mod manager to recoginze SKSE data file and correctly add to plug ins? Im wondering if this is a legendary edition issue.

Did you install SKSE w/ NMM? You can't do that, you have to extract the .rar (open up the skse_1_06_16 folder first, then extract)  into your Skyrim directory (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim)

If you can't open the .rar, install WinRar or 7Zip. I prefer WinRar (WinRar sometimes asks you to pay, but you can close the window and continue using it).

Make sure you installed the RIGHT SKSE version from http://skse.silverlock.org/

If all else fails, paste the SKSE log for us to read over at C:\Users\*username*\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SKSE

I am pretty sure however, that you aren't installing SKSE right. It looks like you are installing SKSE with Nexus rather than installing it "proper". Nexus Mod Manager will not install mods that are located in the Skyrim root directory, you have to do that manually (e.g ENB's, SKSE, ScriptDragon)

Then the video tutorial to run SKSE is wrong. I was running the video and every step stopped it to do what it said.  The video told me to copy and paste the files labelled as skse into the skyrim directory.  Then I was supposed to create a zipped file of the data directory from the skse download. I used zip7 for that and then sent it to my desktop. I opened up the Nexus mod manager and told it to add the extracted desktop file.  I tried to add the file to my plug ins but it doesnt show up.  When I run Skyrim SKSE after making a desktop shortcut from skse, dll. exe or whatever it is called, the regular Steam window pops up.  In the game it tells me SKYUI is not running because script extender is not enabled.

Not sure what you mean by "post the SKSE log".  I simply downloaded and used the file opening system on SKSE download.

Sounds like they were using Gopher's instructions on how to install SKSE. Specifically this:

This is an old thread..>>Posted 22 June 2013 - 07:26 PM

You would be better off starting your own thread ...but will still try to help...

One thing i have seen in the past is a Data folder inside the Data folder , Make sure this is not the Case.

Since you have the Official DLC's also make sure you get and install the UNofficial Patches for them all. Where is Skyrim installed to ? Program Files?
