I have a glitch in Skyrim were it is impossible to finish brawls, because every time I begin one, the NPC I am fighting and any others that happen to be nearby turn hostile and try to kill me.
This poses a problem because this glitch makes it impossible to finish the first Thieves Guild quest.
I'm guessing a mod I have is causing the problem, as it has never happened before, but what could it be?

I would guess you have an active effect on your character that damages the NPC causing it to turn hostile.
And yes, would be a mod... but without a nice and tidy list of mods you used it's quite hard to say which one

It can also be caused by mods with non-hostile effects. It's just one of those Skyrim quirks we have to learn to love (only because we have no other choice). Thankfully, someone has developed a work-around: http://skyrim.nexusm...com/mods/24020/
