I seriously think had they released a demo of morrowind it would have done wonders, I mean right now for demo purposes its find a freind who has a copy and ask them if you can play it on their comp. not the most effective method of getting people hooked on this great game.

lol no thats a good point, but it would be sort of complex to release a demo of it. cos the entire world is seamless (besides the little loading times u get inbetween cell squares) so how would they be able 2 give u just a small portion of the game? put a box around seyda neen and balmora? lol

i dunno but they made Mournhold and thats not directly connected to morrowind mainland. in fact if you jump the wall all you see is water i even water-ran south for a hour with boots of speed and dident see nothing.

what i mean is... how would it work? with it still being realistic? like making a big stone wall around seyda neen, paths, and balmora? seems kinda stupid IMO

Yes it would be hard to do such a thing so far most of my friends are addicted..thanks to me  . But really how could it be accomplished? Like Switch said putting a Wall around that area would suck. But what they could do IMO is that they could make a little island like area, quite realistic or at least up to Morrowind standards, and had a few quests on the island with basic NPC scrips and such and have them be able to make a character but and all but have it limited in the amounts of armor and weapons that can be attained and have some minorly powerful weapon/armor at the end of a specifically hard quest (hard as in hard for very new characters, not wraithguard wearing, sunder weilding, kill everything in the land with one hit characters). Or at least thats my thoughts...It wouldn't have to tie into the main quest or it could with a story line of something like, as the guards were escourting you to Seyda Neen they was trouble at blah blah island and they guards needed all the help they could get so you and blah blah blah head out and save some sort of town on an island. Ok I have my 8-bits in

Yeah I know, but its an idea and ideas usually have drawbacks.

Personally spoken, a demo can be misleading or just not worth playing...Some game-makers release demos for the hyping, but that sometimes ruins the game. <_<

They could code the demo to limit your game days. You could then go wherever you wanted, provided you could get strong enough quick enough, but wouldn't have enough game days to actually do too much with any one character.

yeah thats pretty good but then unless they found some way to disable the console menu u cud just use it 2 go everywhere, do everything and become really uber in a matter of hours
