i advice against it, tropical skyrim already blocks normal content at times so it might be that the mods blocks a cave or a house because the vanilla game doesn't keep track of new places.
i even had to use TCL more often then i ever wanted to, it's better to disable tropical skyrim for the time being till you get trough it.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you don't take chances, put yourself out there and go for it, then you will never get anywhere. Alex has done that and I really admire his dedication, his commitment and his drive to achieve what he wants. If you play by the standard rules, you won't stand out from the crowd. Alexander now stands out from that crowd and will always stand out in this regard, regardless of what happens next for him.

One thing is for sure, Bethesda can hardly fail to notice this guy who spent a year creating a DLC sized mod and got featured all over the internet in magazines and on gaming websites. You can bet they are talking about it at the Beth offices. Alex has got Bethesda's attention and quite frankly that is the hardest thing to achieve and also the most important thing to achieve. He isn't the resume and portfolio that got tossed aside with the hundreds of other unknown, faceless Bethesda job seekers, he is the guy that got the gaming world's attention. All eyes on you Alexander, good luck, I bet you have such a bright future ahead.

Be nice people. Stop telling the author that a job at Bethesda will never happen. I make mods too, and there's a lot of perserverance behind this one. It can be grueling to make a mod, so all modders, myself included, would appreciate constructive criticism over a bunch of outright insults.

How about a little encouragement? The author is young (imo), so who says he won't go to school for this?

We all know Bethesda won't hire someone without a college degree, or some form of written proof that they have formal, professional training (credentials), but then again, he's right outta high school.

I wish the author much luck in his dream, and I, for one, happen to enjoy this mod. I want to do some voice acting in my current mod. I love it when people add voices, and music (I'm also a musician) to their mods.

Keep it up, and good luck AlexanderJVelicky!

Actually, I use it, and it's not so bad. If I ever have a problem with a tree in the way of something, I just activate my "flying" power (Flying mod), and travel right through it! I guess you could say I just cheat. That flying mod will get you ANYwhere you wanna go. And now, back to Falskaar!

In response to post #8657066. #8659626 is also a reply to the same post.

I'd say it's a greater achievement then you think. I'm a student auto tech and I didn't make the tools I use, but I do spend the time to learn how to do things the right way. Did he spend the time to learn how to use his tools? Yes, yes he did. This mod is great for that reason. I believe he has shown a great deal of expertise and professionalism and that is what this article is praising.

I don't think level and quest designers need to program. They used the construction kit too. Game development is a pipeline. Programmers make the tools, then fix them as needed along the way.

which makes it even more impressive since he couldn't go up to Bethesda and ask the programmers to add what he needed to the toolkit, if it lacked something he needed then he just had to do without and come up with some other idea to make up for it.

So, you are 19 years old and created this by yourself...

As a gamer, and manager from IBM i can say if bethesda doens't hire and invest on you, they are loosing someone who have one thing that our companies are loosing:

Passion for the work.

You, should not send your C.V. only for then, but invest heavily on your career as a game designer :)
