In response to post #8526122. #8527010, #8528447, #8532448 are all replies on the same post.

Portfolio always trumps a degree in the art or game industry. Speak to any concept artist, 3d modeller or texture artist and they will tell you this.

IMO, mastering the CK like Alexander does is not a key to become a Bethesda member. It does not mean he (or any other modder) is as skilled as a professional: it just means he knows how to use a powerful tool to create interesting content.

The content itself depends of the modder's skill (of course), but it also depends of the time spent in the project (everyone here can not take a full time year to create a mod, so it is hard to compare). When we see such content, we have to realize that it is a lot of work, but also that the CK is a really great and well-made tool for players.

I don't want to depreciate this mod (as a modder myself, I know this is something huge), but a good modder is not necessarily a good dev: what about his team working effectiveness? What about his pressure management when he have short timelines to respect? And mainly: what if he had a white page in front of him instead of a bunch of assets to work with?

Some artists are really good at creating perfect copies of Masterpieces, and it requires a lot of skills, but it does not mean they could create a Masterpiece themself.

Simply amazing and I'd recommend it to everyone. Nice soundtrack, a decent storyline with some good sidequests. great voice acting and believable characters.

The only downsides were a few bugs which had scripts not fire off, where important parts of the storyline and cutscenes/conversations had to be advanced by using the console, hence missing those parts. The second one would be the landscaping. Those impassable mountain ranges in between the holds just reminded my of Heros of Might and Magic, rather than the wider and open transitions between the "original" Skyrim holds.

Tried the mod and it was okay. Not exciting really...

I guess I was hoping for a showdown fighting on the back of a dragon while your opponent does the same and some climatic ending where they fall to their death from way high up in the sky and yell "DRAGONBOOOOOORN! AAAHHH!!" as they fall.

Maybe include a way for the player to fight as a Bard using some sort of musical flute, guitar, or drum that envelopes the area around them with shock, frost or fire magic as they play or increase follower attributes or give them new attributes by playing unique songs...on second thought...that seems too fantasy-ish.

I would make modifications like that if I just had patience with the creation kit...but I don't. Still, this is an okay mod if you have done everything for the most part in Skyrim. This guy has something I lack with modding which is patience, dedication and determination to see his mod get done so I have no real good or bad opinion about him trying to get a job at Bethesda..lol

Why would you taunt us by posting this at a time where it's impossible to download anything?

Why say he's good enough for a job at Bethesda (or any company)?
With talent and determination like this, he can start-up his own company and outclass them all...And who needs a diploma nowadays in the computer industry to become big? If Bill Gates chose to have his diploma first then I don't think he'll have the same fortune and would probably just end-up getting "hired".
Bethesda should feel lucky if people like AJV would even consider working for them.
