I mostly study Destruction magic so burning the fangs shouldn't be a problem for me." He looked out the window for a good thirty seconds. "Has anyone seen Tordin? he asked the group. There was no answer. Edwin mumbled under his breath "Why isn't that senile old coot here yet?"

As for the characters, there are a few ways we can deal with this:

 

- We'll take over them, as 29 said, although we'd have to decide who got who. 

- Kill them off in the fight. It would be sad, but it would be a good IC reason. I was planning a vamp ambush when they went into the palace, so they could die there.

- Do the "poof" method, which is just where the characters basically never existed. It's pretty much just a cop-out method, though.)

I don't really think we should do the "poof" method, unless we get creative with it (maybe a dream, or something), because it's not like that stuff with that person never happened where the story is concerned. I agree with 29 on this one.

I can take over Tordin (or Artago if Macman decides to come back. If not, we can kill Artago.) and kill him later.
