I went to the other 2 'safe' councils, (crassius and Yngling) and got their votes. I went to orvas Dren at Dren plantation, and spoke with him. I first tried 'telling my story', then bribed him back up to 100, and told 'the truth' (that is, that i wanted to kill dagoth ur, and bring peace to morrowind) he naturally became hostile (DOH!)

i cast a calm humanoid spell (yay for telvanni!! Crazy Therana WAS good for something...) and promptly chose the third answer. I received his vote, but he remains hostile... will this interfere with the main quest in any way? (Or any quest for ANY other faction?)

I think you have to go and see him for a Theives Guild quest in order to become a higher rank. But I think that involves killing him anyway not sure though.

Probably better to avoid killing him if you can, but he has some nice stuff if you do.

Okay... just in case, is there a limit to how many times i can use the 'calm humanoid' spell? If i have to see him again, then i can always calm him down, right?

Edit: You're right... that ebony/daedric spear is pretty good... (Cant tell which one it is... but then, i dont use spears (skill level of 5... ouch) so it doesnt matter much... especially not in comparison to 'bitter mercy'...)

Edit: And not just him, half the people in his plantation have good equipment... i saw a lot of daedric stuff in there...

especially the guard in his villa (good shield) and the two men (behind the locked door) downstairs HIDE good stuff too.

If things are hidden or locked away, they are meant to be stolen!!!

ummmm... not for the honorbound... i mean, murder someone? SURE! steal from them? Hell no, id sooner die!

and the guys downstairs didnt have THAT much good stuff, even after the Morag Tong had me kill them...

You don´t have to murder him, just to get his stuff... It would be the "right thing" to let him live, wouldn´t it? I want to earn my stuff in a good way, not killing him...

I went to his upstairs room where he is and (useing telekensis) took all the stuff he had on his shelf. Then I went downstairs and some crazy guys got pissed and attacked me, then Dren and his buddy from the middle floor came after me O.o *crys* THEY HATE ME!!!

Anyways... Just buy Telekensis spell/scroll/potion and steal the stuff.
