Now, whenever I attempt to run BOSS, it has a critical error because it can't locate the Skyrim.esm. I already attempted to reinstall BOSS, but it didn't work. Gwain96 Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Put BOSS in your Skyrim directory (in steamapps) and open the TESV.exe launcher. WARNING!!! Make a backup of your skyrim .ini files first (In documents/games/skyrim)! When I did it, the launcher reset all my settings.After that, BOSS should be able to run normally. Lord Garon Posted May 4, 2014 Share Posted May 4, 2014 If you just moved Skyrim (copied it somewhere else), the Registry entries which tell other programs where it is installed don't get updated and other programs will continue to look for it in the original location. If you did re-install it, run it from Steam at least once. You can just QUIT at the launcher screen. Sometimes that will update Registry info.
