As heckur stated, you have to save and reload your game after changing the global. Since a update under normal circumstances occurs only directly after loading a save, the script does not check the versions after the load.

Quoting myself...

"1) The sense of heckurs advise is to date back the installation, i.e. make it believe that the save is from an older version, if you date it to the current version, you gain nothing, because the script then thinks that all is up to date."

I've tried:
set REQ_Internal_VersionInstalled to 171 (and 17100)
Saved
Loaded

Even tried to date back to 170 but nothing still. Is there anything else I could try? It pains me a great deal to restart this perfect character with days of played time.

Thanks for your advice

EDIT: What I really want to achieve with this is:
Gold has no weight

Remove visual posion effect

Fast travel enabled

If there's separate commands for these I'd be content with that

In response to post #10338491.

Do you actually have version 1.7.3 of Requiem or 1.7 only? (type help REQ_internal_version in the console to query the esp-version)

If you have 1.7 only, dating it to 171 will have no effect because the installed version has value 170 and therefore is smaller than the installed version, i.e. no update will be triggered (since no sanity check for these variables is present). If you have 1.7.3, then there is something substancially wrong with your installation and/or savegame.

Yes, I do have 1.7.3. And yes, my save file might be completely beyond saving, it was using a requiem version dating back a year or so (used optional files instead of MCM) before this installation. It works when I start a new character though so I guess I have an option here. If this gives you any ideas feel free to help, otherwise I guess we consider this case closed:

After various of save-loads and setting/checking versions I found that the current verison is never loaded, VersionInstalled remains what I set it to be. I've tried restarting the game and fast travelling (which actually works cause I had it enabled in prev. version) to no success.

Lastly: If you can give me a command to set goldweight and posion effect (or either) I will be able to rescue this playthough since fast travel works.
Thanks again for the assistance and quick reply, your (right?) mod is the greatest and it is the reason I play skyrim.

In response to post #10345162.

set REQ_Atmosphere_GoldWeight to X where X is the desired weight per coin
set REQ_Atmosphere_NoPoisonISM to 1 to disable the image-space modifier from poisons
set REQ_Atmosphere_AllowFastTravel to 1 to allow fast travel properly in the latest version

Please note that not all settings can be adjusted via console. Many of them affect mechanics which are controlled via gamesettings and therefore cannot be adjusted via simple console commands (at least not in a persistent manner).

Anyway, if the scripts are not initialized properly, this could cause all kinds of oddities. You should consider starting a new game despite having the above listed console commands.

I understand. I might as well. Thank you!

$REQ_cat_4

and all options are displayed like that... how to fix? ^^
