The mod is not entirely finished. Nothing is actually broken, but I felt like if I kept adding or fixing 'one more thing' then it would never get uploaded. :) It will be 2 or 3 more months before the next upload.

The mod is not entirely finished - specifically cutscenes - the intent is for there to be greater relationship potential between a Dwarf Grey Warden (GW) and the Dwarf Companions. Either BFF or a love type relationship. The mod is finished to the point that - as far as I know - there are no game breaking bugs. As far as romance options, all of the Dwarf Companions will be romanceable by one or more of the Dwarf GWs depending on decisions.

The next upload/upgrade will be done in 2-3 months.

I do hope you are planning to eventually add more interaction with your dwarf companions and warden from other background. I mean, we got Oghren from vanilla game and I do really like him, but kind of like Gimli from Lord of the Ring, I don't think Oghren is the most dignified representative of his race. It's one reason I really love Karma's companion, that mod add more companions from dwarf and elf races and I feel it helps just flesh out the dwarf and elf from DAO better in my game although having companions with voice acting is usually better experience.

Each of the 5 Dwarf Companions have as many or more interactions with the 'not dwarf' GW as Oghren does.

Recruited all 5 of them with my current character, I have to say Jasmine is my favorite because she has the most emotion in her dialogue. I get the impression you want to portrait Lady Danika, Petra, and Silfanar as calm and collected woman who are always in command of their situation, but I do feel they should emote a bit more on occasions. Lady Danika for example, when she's talking about the history of her own house, I think a bit of more emotion to show she's proud of her house's achievement would be more fitting to a slightly cocky dwarf noble caste. And Petra, being a casteless assassin, I think she could sounds a bit more sinister, or even menacing at times to show she's a real badass to survive and 'get the job done'. As right now, I just felt those three are indifferent to anything they are talking about.

Still, those are just my opinion and I'm no way an expert on voice acting (never took an acting class). You obviously put a lots of thought into each dwarf's background, and I really like the special talent they have to complement their background, and having voice acting for original character is always a nice plus.

I understand what you are saying....

At the same time, I've never had a voice acting class either and had hoped to find someone (multiple someones) better qualified than I am. :-) However, the voiceovers are ALL being redone and may improve. At the very least, Lady Danika and Petras will have more lines; I can't promise more than that ;-)

voice actors are still needed

Sorry if I come of as an ungrateful or rude douche in my last post. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this mod, I was just trying to give some feedback based on what I thought about your mod.

not THAT bad, but with voice actors.... you get what you pay for and since no one is being paid.... You get what you pay for ;-) I can say that without insulting anyone since I am currently the ONLY voice actor :-)

For Petras - she will (potentially) sound a bit sly. It is really really had to get people to turn their backs if you sound sinister. They seem to think that Petras might stab them in the back if she sounds sinister/evil :-)

You are right, sinister or menacing is too strong of a word for someone who'll join the warden's party, sly is much better. Even Bhelen, the back stabbing tyrant still has a very charismatic voice. Actually, it would be fun if Petra would sounds like a female equivalent of Bhelen, a smooth talking back stabbing thug from dust town who can also turn a complete 180 and sounds menacing when she need to intimidate other dwarf. Although that'll require a lot of voice acting talent to pull off...

Not sure how hard is to code this in DAO, but is it possible to let companions interact with each other during a dialogue? It's only my personal thought, but I feel DAO's vanilla companion shines the most when they interact with each other (party banter for example, which is primary reason why I love Ser Gilmore companion so much). I thought it would be fun if you can initiate a conversation with one of your dwarf companion, and then another say something in the middle of the dialogue to let them interact with each other a bit. I think it'll be very fun to listen to the party banter between Lady Danika and Petra, or Silfanar and Jasmine.

Sounding like Bhelen is closer to Lady Danika - the Noble/politician who will say anything that she needs to say without ever exactly lying. ;)

In the main dazip/mod file, I won't make any changes to the core game resources. To have 'anywhere' banter would require either changing resources OR introducing the potential for a LOT of lag. I like the banter, but when I looked into it, it wasn't worth the cost. Banter may become an option if I ever write quests, but that will be a long time from now.

Having multiple Companions interact during a conversation is a similar issue. To remove the issues associated with it would require changing core resources. I did find a solution, but it is a lot of work for very little gain. I have a very few conversations where Silfranar and Jasmine both take part in a conversation because there is a way to do it and I needed them both to participate in the conversation. The option exists if I create quests since I wouldn't have to change core resources (specifically the area files) .
This forum discussion describes what has to be done for each line if multiple Companions participate in the same conversation: http://forum.bioware.com/topic/399927-conversations-dynamic-stages/
