Which would make sense, since it looks like we're viewing something along the lines of an Imperial armoury. In which case, it's logical that they would have a practice dummy.

I wouldn't doubt that they have mannequins either, though, so.......

Wait and see.

these screenshots are great. graphics look awesome so far. shadows would be good but since they do slow it down a lot, i could live without them, i have in morrowind for all these years. the weapons look great too. nice detail and textures also.

another thing to note is the mannequin sitting out in the center of the room. :), finally displays without mods!

actually i think it's a practice dummy - it's strapped to the beam above it

So it is, so it is...forgive me, my not-so-new monitor didn't allow me to see those straps/chains/whatevers clearly.

It's fine - I can barely see them myself.

As for the graphics, I've seen better. As of now, graphics can't improve much, relative to how much they've grown in the past few years. Just watch the Unreal Engine 3 E3 2004 video to see incredible graphics. What matters now is art direction - Fable may not have had mind-blowing graphics, but the art direction was great. And Metroid Prime - the prime example of unbelievably incredible art.

Yeah, the outdoor screens for Oblivion I've seen so far look incredible, but the indoor and object art/graphics seem a bit lacking. Especially the objects. I'm sure they will improve with time, however.

Well actually, if I get a new computer... lets say 512 MB memory, 80 GB processor. Forgot the Mhz... but would that run oblivion... most likely laggy no doubt....

I'd say look into at least a gig+ of memory at this point, and wait to buy it til right before oblivion comes out(it'll be cheap by then).

Speaking of being able to run this game, what video card was used to take these screenshots?
