You can also add the aetherium crown with the mage stone +100 and then add an adept hood with another 50 magica... not to forget the necromancers amulet... if you play that as an altmer you porbably have the biggest mana pool ever

I just found this thread and wanted to ask my question from the main thread again: any ideas for mods or anything that would make a nice martial artist build? I got the perk and will get the enhanced muscle alteration spell and the gloves of the pugilist but as casting spells breaks sneak mode I probably also should get into heavy armor... still it doesnt level one handed weapons... so maybe someone knows what to do?

Yeah, a pool of 1000 is easy attainable. It sounds great but with just a +1 m/s you burn through it in a blink of the eye. A pure mage build with this setup isn't easy and will level slowly, because you really have to take care when to cast a spell. And sustained spells or Wards are almost out of the question.

you could probably use blood magic to create magica or burn up potions and elseweyer fondue... atronarch is definitely more fun for battle mages and mage hunters but its also quite nice if you are not good with wards... i never really used them... if you could run around with them normally I would use them but they seem to hinder movability a lot so atronarch stone is a great option against mages...

always go for the mage stones even if you dont play a mage... atronarch stone sounds good for witch hunting... you dont need to invest in magic perks, witches are best killed with sneaking and a bow... breton would be perfect...

I once tried blood magic. It works fine except for one flaw: it levels up your Restoration skills incredibly fast. Before I knew it, I was an expert, while still apprentice in the other schools.

A Breton witch hunter could also go for the Lord Stone. Together with Savior's Hide you have 60% magic resistance. Add in an Alteration perk, Mara's Agent and a nice ring or amulet, and you have reached the maximum already
. Now ask yourself, what's better: only taking 10% damage all the time, or a chance to die every other hit?

So, I would like to create a Nightblade that specializes in One handed, Frost Destruction, sneak, Illusion, Evasion, and Alchemy as a trade skill. I don't want this build to have to resort to Archery. Do you believe this is possible. Any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated.

If you start with two perks in Sneaking and one in Illusion, there will be little problems. Keep the weight of your equipment and stuff in your inventory as low as possible to get good chances while sneaking. Avoid direct lines of sight, keep in the dark and move slowly. While traveling, practice your Illusion skills by fearing animals and keeping up Dark Vision. Take Invisibility as soon as possible. Once you can empower it, its upkeep is very manageable. As soon as you can sneak while invisible, you are a master of stealth
.
Now you can start thinking of ranged attacks, taking out dragons with destruction magic, how to handle Dwemer automatons, ... Evasion will level up very slowly, because you don't run much and are never hit. You can do without it. You probably want to wear good robes anyway, to keep sustained spells up, and Illusion offers spells like Blur and Shadowshield that provide some armor. The Destruction rune spells are of great value. You can't cast them silently, but when you keep your distance nobody will notice. Cast one and lure a victim to it with Illusion. They are also very powerful: a single empowered Fire Rune takes out a Frost Troll, once you have some skill.
For equipment, concentrate on high magicka, high magicka regeneration and Destruction spell cost reduction (in that order of importance). Since non-armor boots and gloves almost never come enchanted, Enchanting is perhaps a better skill to have than Alchemy (which requires you to carry around a large amount of ingredients and phials, which in turn makes sneaking harder).
For perk assignment, concentrate on Illusion. You only need the two basic perks in Sneak early on, and perhaps one perk in One-handed and Lockpicking. Everything else should go to Illusion and Destruction first. You will be very perk-starved the first 20 - 30 levels, so don't waste them!

Thank you for the great advice. As far as weapons go, do you think I'll be able to manage with Daggers?
