I was always intrigued by the loading screen of the Redgaurd warrior holding a soulgem. So I decided to roleplay as one.

Build: dual wielding enchanter
Race: Redgaurd

History:
For a Redgaurd, magic does not come easy. They usualy don't have a born talent for this. But it's a mistake to think that the Redguard society looks down upon practitioners. They have seen the use of it, what great devistation it can cause. Usualy on the recieving end of it, like recently in the war against the Thalmor and the Empire for the independence of Hammerfell.

Knowing that the chance of a Redgaurd matching the magical skill and knowledge of a Aldmeri wizzard is small to none, the Hammerfell army put all their hope on the development of magical artifects and equipment. Therefore they founded the Spellbinder Program as an awnser for the magical deprivation they have compared to other cultures and races. Gifted students are groomed to become legendary enchanters to support the Hammerfell army in becoming a magical force to be reckoned with. Outnumberd, because of their major losses in the war against the Dominion, the only chance of surviving another attack is to provide every Hammerfell soldier with magical protection gear and powerfull enchanted weapons.

Character:
Daalohn, he is the oldest prodigy of the spellbinder program. A slim and lean greybearded Alik'r veteran. During his research he went blind. This provided him with keener senses. There are few fighter that are more reactive and agile with the scimitar, let alone two of them.

His mission in Skyrim is to perfect his skills in enchanting, learn as much new magical effects as possible. To learn the craft from the renounced Sergius Turrianus in Winterhold and legendary Neloth in Solstheim in order to pass this knowledge on to his own people. Check upon the rumours on a certain schrine of Azura. And to seek the thruth about the artifacts of Haknir Death-Brand (king of ghost) for future experiments.

Secondary he is in Skyrim as an unofficial Hammerfell ambassador to the Stormcloaks. The Alik'r believe that the empire is lost, and mankind faces a huge threat. From experience they know that guerilla warfare is the only way to defeat the talmor. They want to aid the stormcloacks where they can, to have a solid and motivated ally when the day comes. But, safety first, the expedition has priority over any local affairs.

Build:
For my own motivation I started with a onehanded skill of 25 and enchanting 40. Rest is default for a Redgaurd.
Mostly I did this because I am roleplaying an very old character. Besides I just don't feel like I want to spend most of the time grinding magical artifects, that make me very wealthy and spam the world of skyrim with useless objects. I started out in full Alik'r gear because of the live another live mod :)
Which turns out, is no light armour at all but just clothes? Will Requiem tackle this in the future? My plan is to enchant the gear anyways so for me it does not matter much.

For now this playtrough is very fun, expecialy because I now have two Alik'r warroirs as followers!

There is some light armor Alik'r gear in the game, but to get it you have to fight your own people. Perhaps you should just console-give it to yourself. The gear is worn by the Alik'r warriors in Swindler's Den. They appear in that cave after starting the quest "In my time of need".

I know I'm late to the party, but I find the ranger rogue to be the best, for Requiem. With first striking w/ stealth, and increased arrow dmg, it's probably the easiest to manage. I've also found investing in poison making to be a needful thing, for dragons. Just oil up those arrows and watch those destructive monsters perish. It seems like every other build is either too gimped, or takes 20-30 levels to be protected enough from the harsh world.
But yeah, max Archery, max Alchemy, max Sneak, and max Lockpicking. So far the only problems I've ran into were bosses with insane regen. Kinda hard to bring something down when they heal all the dmg you've done for every second it takes you to knock an arrow. For them I tend to use followers...

@heckur Yes... yes I have, and I did cry alittle. However, thats what shouts, scrolls, and followers are for. It's such a small part of the game (until you get to blackreach... -_-) that I dont really worry about it.

Playing with two characters at the moment.

Egritte :
Skaal/Wildling type (mostly inspired by Ygritte from Game Of Thrones).
Mods like Winter Edition, Frostfall, RnD, Hunterborn and some tweaks for archery (mostly visuals). Lots of other mods though.
Living outside of cities (tents and fireplace), only entering cities to sell loots an get some quests for money so i can pay trainers.
Hunting my own food, smithing my weapons (only using basic Iron War Axe and simple bows), making my own potions.
My character hates magic and hunt wizards, mages, witches and magic creatures.
Wearing fur armor/clothes (Frostfall/Winter Edition).
Major Skills : Archery / One-Handed / Sneak / Light Armor
Minor Skills : Speech (to get better prices and intimidate) / Alchemy (to poison arrows).
I'll probably get a wolf for companion at one point (White Garm with red eyes, from a mod). I actually like the fact that my follower will be underpowered without being "requiemyfied".
Mostly a "good" character but with a temper and motsly rude to people.
She's a Skaal (Thirsk), basically her sister was banished from their Skaal village for delving into dark magic to protect the village. 3 years ago, Egrytte decides to go after her Sister after hearings rumors that she is in Cyrodiil. Eventually, when finding her sister, she realize that she's lost, now way too deep into those dark things and get a harsh welcome. So she decide to go back to her village but when crossing the border to Skyrim she's capture by imperials an mistaken for a stormcloak.

Melandra :
Young high-born Breton, not an "evil" character (not killing people without reason) but fascinated by death, immortality and dark magic. After learning about vampires from a secret cult in High-Rock, she decided to run away from her noble life and went to Skyrim, not really knowing why, just driven by her fascination and attraction of vampires.
A bunch of mods related to magic, enchanting (Enchanting Awakened), vampires (Vampiric Thirst), basic clothes (Common Clothes) but nothing that adds spells, only stuff that goes well with Requiem.
I travel more from cities to cities with this character, helping people to take advantage of them and searching for clues about vampires, daedras, and dark magic basically.
So far i use the old spellsword dude Arghus from Interesting NPCs as a follower, i like to think of him as my Ser Barristan Selmy or Jorah Mormont ;-)
I usually use a dagger (orcish so far) and a spell in the other hand
Basically, i imagine Melandra to be an illusionist, manipulating people's mind and their perception of reality and an enchanter/ritualist. I try to use only spells that a witch type of character would. So :
Major Skills : Illusion / Restoration (i manipulate my own mind to heal my body) / Alteration (modification of reality or the perception of reality. No mage armor things) / Enchantment / Speech (again, manipulating people)
Minor Skills : Conjuration (Not powerful things, basically to distract enemies. For RP, i imagine that whatever i summon is only in the enemy's mind and i prefer to summon ghostly stuffs) / One-Handed / Sneak / Alchemy

Hey guys, what do you think about the sort of barbarian class- 2 handed weapon, quick on feet (maybe Khajit 15% speed bonus) using evasion, alchemy, smithing but more sneaky type - like first sneak attack with bow, then change to 2H weapon and finish them. I found out, that most classes start to be pretty boring after a short time, because when you have the same power all the time, you can just rush in and kill everything, no preparation or buffs needed. I would love if there is some spell or something which temporarily increase your 2H weapon skill or something like that, when it gets tough, you just use it and felt like you've used something special normally, pretty weak character become temporarily strong as hell. I know about racial powers but, they can be used once per which is too long...
Any idea about his story or what he/she would be identified with?

From http://nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/Barbarian
"Barbarians are brave, even reckless warriors whose great strength and heartiness makes them well suited for adventure."

Hardly the type to carefully sneak near some enemy to make a sneak attack ;). More like someone who shouts first to throw archers and mages flying through the air, then sprints into the nearest enemy to bullrush him to the ground. After finishing him, he runs to the group that tries to get on their feet again and with an gigantic swing (using his Cleave perk) takes them all out at once :D.

A shout like Fury increases your attack speed. A shout like Slow Time is even better. The Ethereal shout makes you temporarily invulnerable: a good way to heal by drinking a potion first. Wirlwind can instantly place you near an archer or mage.
