Yesterday i started a game with a monk and when i tried out my hand to hand skill i got somewhat disapointed because it takes lot of blows to kill someone.... someone like the smuglers in addamasartus cave near scyda neen. In that cave my previously mentioned skill when from 40 to 43, and after a day in this town killing mudcrabs and scribs i already when up a level!
Is this NORMAL!!!??? <_<

With your major and minor skills, especially on a low level and with a constant rate of success, yes, it is possible to raise levels relatively quickly.

I just started a new game the other with a custom class "Smiter." I have been playing for a bit now, and I'm still on level 1! I don't have great success rate for my skills, though. Well, just goes to show you that it depends on your character how you level, I guess.
