It is actually no debate that the Talos is a god. I am with the Thalmor but I still know that. Its just that I dont think he deserves to be one. He has done nothing good for the altmer, he didnt help in the creation nirn, I dont see why he deserves to be a god.

It's not within a mortal's power (ie, the Thalmor) to determine whether or not Talos deserved to be a God.

That'd be like my dog deciding that I don't deserve to be human; they're completely without the perspective or power to make that call.

The Thalmor philosophy only works if they don't believe Talos is a God, because then they're simply disagreeing with the humans who claim he's a God. If you claim that Talos is a God but does not deserve to be one, then you're not arguing with fallible men, but with Talos himself (a being with vastly more knowledge, perspective, and power than men or mer). Deciding that Talos doesn't deserve to be a God is just as meaningless within TES lore as my dog deciding that I don't deserve to be human. In both cases, a being with vastly less knowledge and power attempts to judge a being with vastly more knowledge and power.
