Here's another idea:
Merge them with the weapons to make them go with the weapon so it doesn't use an armor slot. If I recall correctly, the weapon is always positioned in it's "holstered" position when imported to nifskope. That's atleast how it was with oblivion

I'll just upload them as a resource with the holsters in a container so you can use them straight away,

I tried playing the game this morning and since I've been testing the holsters it just looks so stupid now without one now that I couldn't carry on, lol
thats when I went back and did the 10mm and chinese versions

OOPS I uploaded the wrong file...may or may not have worked 
download again if you already have it
the correcct file is holsters.esp
if you have holster.esp (no s) its an early test version which may or may not work (cant remember what was in it)

I've tried it and its very good, I also quite like the textures as they are, no need for other ones.
