The GeForce 9600 series GPU's are at least 4 years old now. Rather old.

The Radeon 6600 series are about 2 years old now, but those were entry-level GPU's.

Personally, I'd pick neither and buy a new one instead. Nowadays you can get a dirty cheap card that easily outperforms both with ease.

Well, for 70$ you're screwed when it comes to gaming, you're looking at HTPC cards, with casual gaming cards worth anything barely coming into your price range. You can get a Radeon HD 7750 for 80$ which outperforms both of those you mentioned in the title, but that's 10$ over your budget. Used 7750/7770 or GTX 650 may come into your price range though, all of those outperform the two cards you're looking at.

But I have no information on your local used merchandise, so seeing as how the only way you can have anything playable on your PC with the current information supplied is to take one of the cards from your title - what are the specs of those two cards?

Well, that changes things.

For 110$ you can get a Radeon 7770, maybe even 7790 if you can squeeze a few pounds more (or find one on discount), both of which would literally obliterate both of those cards in the title. From the Nvidia side, there's GTX 650 Ti which is on-par with 7790, if you're lucky to find a 110$ 650 Ti model that is, otherwise there's GTX 650 which is roughly on-par with the 7770.

That's about all I can remember at the moment, maybe someone else can think of something.

Could the 7770 run a good enb on skyrim with high quality settings?
