Before you lock out this post witch i know you probaly will for some reason i have not been able to get into the i expect topic so i'm starting a new one.

The things i want from oblivion....
1. Duel wielding weapons and stuff that really made me mad in the tes3.
2. Horses with armor that you can equip to them.
3. More magestic (big vocab ehhh....) clothing i think the last clothing in tes3 was kinda dull.
4. combos with weapons not cheesy combos.
5. ability to settle down. (i.e. sit down)
6. Houses that you can by that has your name on it not like "Factors Estate" How about "Draego's Estate"
7. The ability to marry and have children. (none of that naughty stuff )
8. ageing (like fable but better thought out)

Thats the list if you can move it Dark0ne or switch or any of you guy's go ahead.

I would guess that everything will be must more detailed than the last, so as far as the 'clothes' part goes, I wouldn't worry -

Remember what the state of the art machine was when TES3 first came out? They had to program so that people could actually play it. The standard PC for this one is going to be much bigger and much more powerful, so I would expect more room for the niceties as well as enhanced gameplay.

Not sure if the barding (horse armor) is going to be a priority. If it is I would love to see how many people buy a chamfron, and then wonder why they can't fit it on as a pauldron...

The thing about sitting down - only good when you go to third person view...It really makes little difference when you are in first person (so, you get shorter....)

Marrying and having children is on your list of wishes? Ah, ok...not sure if it would make my top 50....

My list would also include:

Realism factors such as everyone not being up for 24 hours....
An active gameplay block command, rather than the 'autoblock'.
Even more freedom to do what you want and be successful at it.

Regarding Chaos' list,
1. Not sure, but blocking IS going to be manual, so more likely to be possible than in MW
2. Not sure how item slots will work, so might happen, might not. I suppose it probably would be possible to make a scripted mod that would replace body parts and change armor rating.
3. This IS set in the Imperial Province, after all!
4. Not sure
5. I *think* I saw something about that on the ES website.
6. Something else that probably could be scripted in, if necessary.
7. Not likely to be built in, but I do hope they have kids. If they have to be uberwarriors to prevent lawsuits, so be it.
8. How long do you plan on playing one character? I wouldn't have thought that would be a concern!

1. Radiant AI. PCs can even steal stuff, apparently. (I saw something about a guard going to hunt a deer, and getting arrested, resisting, and having fellow guards come to his aid---fun!)
2. They do intend to have blocking active.

Ah yes, my christmaslist for Olibivion

1. Realistic world( as far as possible in a fantasy world that is.) I mean children, peoplegoing to bed, people dinning (Always wondered why people didnt starve to death).
2. I get Chaos' point on the wive and kids thing, hey dont we all like to go home to someone after a hard day of work, even if it's just an illusion , gives more the feeling of I'm actually home.
3. More freedom, I mean all you could do to earn some money decently was bloody killing everyone who pissed someone off ( that includes yourself ). Might sound a bitt doll and stupid but after bloody killing everyone I'd like to sit back maybe work on a field a bit, down in a mine or catch a fish (and I dont mean jump into the water and wait till a slaughterfish passes by...). Might seem a bit dull to some of you but let's face it. Killing does get tiresome after a while...
4. The ability of settling somewhere. Cause if there was one thing which pissed meoff it was I couldnd find a single house which I liked in Morrowind to store my stuff, I like everything to be tidy and cosy (I get way too involved in these games, what a lack of social life all cant do...). Isnt necessary but at least let there be some decent houses around.
5. And a whole lot of other things which will come to mind in some hours, days, weeks, months... Keep a spot open for me, eh?

That's there:

"We've really gotten much better at this," Howard says when discussing the living world of Oblivion. "We're really focusing this time on how people in the world react to you, because that's the most fulfilling thing about being good or bad or in-between." The game sports a new "Radiant AI" system that Howard says is best described as a combination of Ultima 7 and The Sims. Rather than following pre-scripted paths, every NPC is given a set of general goals they'd like to achieve, but the details of fulfilling that goal is entirely up to them. If a citizen is hungry, they'll look for a way to get food. They might buy food, hunt it, or steal it, then find a place to sit to eat and so on. This means that every one of the game's 1,000 NPCs follows a full 24/7 schedule that continues whether or not the player is there to witness it. It also means that the NPCs react to each other, so a townsperson who decides to steal a loaf of bread in full view of the guards may find himself under arrest.

It also means that everything the player does in the game that's witnessed by NPCs is processed and remembered by them, who will then use that information to decide how to react to you. Interactions are governed by what the player has done to them, what groups or guilds they're both a member of, whether the player has messed with anyone in their family and what their general reputation in the Empire is. Players who just watch the NPCs going about their daily lives will often witness townsfolk in unscripted dynamic conversations gossiping about what's going on in the kingdom and what rumors and news is currently hot.

I'd like to be able to really customise stuff.

Things like...

• Tattoos
• Buying furniture for your house
• Getting a partner, doing partner stuff etc.
• Being able to do everything you should do at home
• Writing stuff, putting those Quill pens and Inkwells to use
• Actually making things when you are a smith and selling them rather than repairing them
• How about a bustling market instead of empty shops
• NPC's going into buildings
• Getting drunk on Mazte/Sujamma/Flin/Cydorillic Brandy/Mazte/Greef
• Being intoxicated by Skooma or Moon Sugar
• Upgradable weapons/homes/pets
• Deciding for yourself what happens at your stronghold, instead of automatically having an Eggmine etc.
• Instead of instantly getting out of prison, stay in for a while, move around, talk to other prisoners, escape...
• Actual Colleges and Universities instead of the amazing Balmora U Mod
• Actual Arena events you can watch, like Chariot Racing, Circus shows, Battles
• Being able to enter the above without a mod
• An Oblivion Construction set
• Dynamic attacks, combos, learning new martial arts and techniques
• The List Goes On!

I want mini-games to replace stuff that is boring like Alchemy and whatever else kind of crafting there will be.

I also heard of a cool feature in the next Splintercell game where the audio will have sound occlusion and sound obstruction so all sounds will be gradually hear rather than "on" or "off".

That'd be pretty cool, but I don't know how it would be put to amazing use. I'd still love for it to be there, modders could do something cool.

EDIT: Also, I want killing people to actually have bearing. Parents would be insanely depressed if you chopped down their little jonny or the town would hold a new election if you arrow'd the mayor/sherrif etc... Bonus if the elecetion entails riots, picketing and anti-*candidate* propaganda.

Oh, and I hope the AI acts like they say it will. :shifty:

That brings up another thing! A "Repair All"/"Mix All" button! Also, a box for asking price in the barter window would be nice.

I dont think this would do much good to the game's image, then again I'd find it realistic and I prefer it to be that way
