Ok, I tried the console command, after switching my load order in every combo I could, and still only changes to her appearance occurred.
I use Amazing Follower Tweaks (AFT) rather than UFO, and it defaults all followers to essential. The only other "third party" follower I have EVER downloaded is Inigo. (only one worth a damn, but that is only my opinion - I take nothing away from the work other modder's have put into their follower mods).

Do you think it might have something to do with AFT defaulting her as essential? Maybe a case of premature essentialation?

I haven't tested AFT so I am unsure. I have made minimal changes to Muiri to minimize conflict and ran this mod through TESEdit just for good measure, so honestly I cannot imagine what it may be.

If you would post your load order here I may be able to tell you more. In NMM there should be an option to copy your load order to clipboard. Just paste it here and I can look at it.

Also, if you want to check... try starting a new game and just run straight to Markarth (take the buggy outside of Whiterun) and go see Muiri. When you get there open the console and type "setrelationshiprank player 4" and see if she will follow you.

It's not as bad as it looks, very few scripts. Ok, I'll start a new game and let you know what happens.

That is quite a list... I have seen worse though. My Fallout 3 build was like a cosmic game of Jenga. =P

I am curious about the FollowerCompatibility.esp. It appears to be a fix for UFO but I assume you are using it for your Inigo mod? Do you have mods that do not work without it?

Do you use BOSS? And have you ever used Wrye Bash to make a bashed patch for your game?

Once you run BOSS, it will open your browser and there will be some tabs on the left side. Check for unrecognized plugins (my mod will most likely be there) and manually move those where you want them using NMM. It will also tell you if you have any mod conflicts. When you have your load order adjusted close NMM then install Wrye Bash and follow the readme to make a bashed patch. Its easy. Basically just right click the bashed patch it will auto generate and select "rebuild patch" then click "ok" to everything.

Every time you add a mod or change your load order you will want to rebuild your patch.

Vamyan has a bunch of patches for multiple mods. The one I'm using patches some things for all of them. I couldn't recruit Inigo if I had another follower without it. I specifically tested this so that he would not take off when the game forces a follower on me. That's what the patch does. I have no other mods affected by it and all other mods seem to be functioning as they should.
I do use BOSS, I ran it a little while ago, and it did exactly what it did the last time I ran it. It put unrecognized water front house mods AFTER my water mod which results in the mod authors water mod rendering a section of the water front with their water mod - if it differs. THAT one had me messed up for a bit - lol!
Yes your mod is unrecognized and loaded dead last, which we expected I assume.
It revealed a conflict between SOS dungeons and RLO which I'm not overly concerned about since the game runs fine and I plan on removing SOS as soon as Audio Overhaul is updated for dungeons. It tagged the numerous mods with dirty edits as well. I have cleaned only the official Bethesda files so far. I want to make sure I don't remove something the mod authors have left intentionally. And finally, it tagged all the mods needing a bashing. At this point in my modding experience, my brain is taking a bashing, so I will learn more about Wyre Bash before I attempt an install and run of it. Before I watched Gopher's Beginners video's, I knew nothing, and still have a lot to absorb frankly, but I have managed to keep my game from crashing and all the problems I read about other people having, by carefully reading all relevant material regarding what I install. I want to understand it rather than mimic what I see.

OK, with all that said (sorry about the long wind), I started a new game, went straight to Markarth and recruited her no problem. All the features of AFT worked perfectly as well.

As a side note, I tried jet4571's Muiri Follower mod and I am having similar problems there. She won't follow and her appearance is changed, only in the form of being naked. Maybe both of you are running into the same issue? Both are brand new mods so... I don't know, I'm not a modder, in fact, Inigo is the first mod I've ever installed and Skyrim the first game of it's type I've ever played. Ya don't get greener than that often I bet, but I hope all this helps and I thank you for your patience. I can see how newbs could be VERY tiresome.

There are a lot of mods that require a new game to work correctly. It may just be something "baked" into your save game data that is causing the issue. I will keep my ear to the door and see if anyone else has similar issues. I have started so many new games modding bethesda games... so very many. Only to get 150 hours into Oblivion and find out my game is bugged and I have to start over. Heh.

Good luck in your modding endeavors, Wrye Bash may help you out a lot overall. Let me know how it goes.
