dubiousintent, mod helper doesn't require XEW in path. I copied a working line from my bat file as an example. EU/EW is switched by some mod file parameter, if I'm not mistaken.

xaba, If I understand correctly, "rip" means "alternative" version. And we can't help with those. Anyway, if it is legal, but with no patch or patch 1, mod will still not work, as it requires EW patch 2.

i didnt have any problems with EU and modding before, anyways the problem is not with the directory it seems
from the .bat:
[INFO]> Found XCOM Root Directory of [ D:XCom Enemy WithinXCOMXComGame ]
[INFO]> Backup Target Directory is [ D:XCom Enemy WithinXCOMXComGameXEWBackup ]
[INFO]> Decompressed UPK Folder [ D:XCom Enemy WithinXCOMXComGameXEWBackupUnpacked ]
[INFO]> Decompressed UPK Output Directory does not exist, creating
[ERROR]> An Error occured during processing:Cannot find the specified Target Path [ D:XCom Enemy withinXCOMXComGameXEWXComGameCookedPCConsoleXComGame.upk ]
[ERROR]> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Cannot find the specified Target Path
[ D:XCom Enemy WithinXCOMXComGameXEWXComGameCookedPCConsoleXComGame.upk ]

In response to post #13664834. #13673114 is also a reply to the same post.

i tried something out just now, since the .bat already created the XEW folder but i noticed there is none of the folders it was looking for, i created the 2 folder (xcomgame/pccookedconsole) and copied the upk. files inside, seems it works, altho im getting 5 error messages about the weird files game finds.

xaba, using 'code' tag preserves backslashes.

"Alternative" version may have a different folder structure. Game root directory should be the one, containing XEW sub-folder along with many others. From the name of your install path and from the fact that you called it a "rip", I'm guessing someone has separated EW from EU and distributed it as stand-alone game. As many of the utilities require Steam folder structure, they simply won't work with this "rip".

And we really should stop at this point, as nexus rules do not allow to discuss "alternative" versions.

No, it is not. Although technically it can be considered a different game and even could be distributed as a different game had developers/publishers wanted it, it is a part of Enemy Unknown and shares some resources with Enemy Unknown (like movies).

Enemy Within for PC is a DLC for Enemy Unknown and requires EU to play.

"Complete Edition" does not require EU, but it's essentially the same, as it already contains both EU and EW inside.

EW for consoles does not require EU to play, it was released as a different game (still EU + EW, afaik), because of its size — too big to be released as DLC.

I need some help.

I''m using XCOM UPK Patcher 3.2, using "..\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW" as the game's path. Then I select the "Revenge of the Sleeves.txt" as the mod and press Apply. The Patcher says everything was successful, but nothing changes in-game.

What am I doing wrong?
