yes you do, because this mod is for Enemy Within only. I will edit mod's description to make it clear.

When it comes to paths, mod's installer checks system registry for SteamPath value (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam). Said value is used to create XCOM installation path. It works fine with Steam version of the game.

 

But there is non-Steam version known as alternative or free, which doesn't have to be installed in Steam folder. In this case is needed to edit *.bat files and add correct path with help of -x option.

This is no longer working in the newest patch. Just a heads up. I can't find any other mods to stop corpses from disappearing, either. Would really love an update.

Thanks for heads up. Please try XCOM Interface and Gameplay Tweaks mod.

 

I'm really happy Wasteland Ghost started her mod so I may discontinue MD or include the functionality in larger pack.
