NightCrawler002, seems, the author has abandoned this mod. Read this wiki article, it has an example on how to mod panic levels and stop nations from defecting.

In response to post #14769439. #15163338 is also a reply to the same post.

Well i did whats in the wiki and did bit work also. I started a new game and keept the globe spining and nations keept defecting anyway. I changed the ini and saved it but it did do nothing. Is it maybe because i use texmod?

Did you "enable INI loading" as described in the "Basic Guide to installing mods" wiki article?

No.  Long War is deliberately designed to have a nation defect in the first month so you can re-capture nations so they join back into the Funding Council by capturing enemy bases.  They are taking contrary approaches to the strategy game.

Well, it doesn't work for me. With that mod installed, I can't even launch my game. Of course I made a backup, as I always do, but it would be great if this mod would work. I'm using a totally vanilla XCOM with all official DLCs and I wonder why it does simply not work. I would really appreciate a quick and useful answer. :D

All mods require changes to existing vanilla game files.  Whenever a patch is released, it causes mods to "break" by replacing the EXE and often some other files.  Usually this results in the location of those mod changes (offsets) now being different.  Until the author updates the mod to account for the new offsets, it won't work.  This is an older mod that has not been updated.
