I ran the TOCbinUpdater for the main game, and now Mass Effect launches correctly if ran as administrator.
Thank you very much and congratulations for your work again !

Well, I had given up on this mod since the installer doesn't work for me, but thankfully the manual installation guide for MEHEM helped me on getting this done since the process is essentially the same, turns out it really isn't that hard once you get the hang of it.
But I must ask, is there any indicative in-game that the installation went alright without starting the DLC?

Well done. The installer is great but it does confirm the exact size of the default.sfar files it edits and that can make it not work. I should probably get a full guide up with pictures for people since there are various reasons the installer won't work and, like you said, it's not that hard once you get the hang of it.
There's no in game confirmation that it's installed until you get into it. But, if you replaced all the pcc, tlk, and afc files, ran the DLC TOCbin Updater then you should be fine. I'll give you a few tips for things to check. You could confirm this with a previous save, start the DLC, and see how it goes.
If you're using the full version, you'll know if it worked with one of the default.sfar files right away when entering the apartment. Traynor will say, "Commander. I just got word. Admiral Hackett found something you need to see." The Pack003_Base file check happens when meeting Joker. He'll say, "Yeah. Only had to save the galaxy to get a table here," as opposed to "Only had to save the galaxy twice to get a table here."
If you're using the lite version, your first check at the party is to walk over to Joker and EDI. Miranda may say something to Jacob first but as long as Joker doesn't start talking about, "You know why Cerberus is going to loose? Demographics," you've installed it.
If you're using MEHEM to CEM then the only way to know is to finish the credits and see what happens. There aren't too many files to replace but when people have problems, remembering to run the DLC TOCbin Updater and the TOCbinUpdater is usually the step that is missed.
Yes, if you missed some files things could go wonky but if you went down the list and replaced everything you're good to go. Just make periodic saves as you play in case something is wrong but if installed properly it'll work.

Alright, played through the DLC just fine, everything worked just fine.
An issue I was having is that I think I installed the whole thing a bit too late, I added it to the game after the point the DLC becomes available normally(I did install MEHEM to CEM with it), and if I tried to go into the apartment by using the option to when docking at Citadel, the game would just freeze, but the transition from the ending into the DLC worked perfectly, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
Also, a detail I noticed, before adding the mod, the mission flag at Citadel said "Visit Anderson's Apartment", after I did, it changed to "Visit Shepard's Apartment", I took it as indication that the installation had gone smoothly, and, well, it really did.
Now, if you allow me to make a pointless complain that doesn't really change what I think about the mod: I wish more games were like Oblivion, Fallout 3/NV and Skyrim, it is so much easier to just throw in the .esp and mark it at the load list.

That's really weird it would freeze since the trigger in the MEHEM to CEM file doesn't activate until that point. I guess that's one way to have people not accidentally start the mod too early but I'll look into it.
Good catch on the Shepard's apartment. I had forgotten about that change and that specific change was done about 30 minutes before I created the final release.
Right, ease of modding and using mods. It's really difficult to create tools for the community to use and I'm guessing Bioware had no idea how passionate fans would be and would want to change things. Goes to show; they made one heck of a trilogy.

I have a question about this MOD and I hope this is the right place to ask it. Seems to be!
I am currently looking at installing MEHEM, CEM and ThaneMOD, and while I have thoroughly read every piece of documentation that I can get my hands on regarding the installs, I am still unsure with a few spots.
Mr. Fob posted some extremely detailed instructions that left nothing to mistake, but his instructions included using the CEM that utilizes the Installer, i.e. v0.3. Having read the changes that you made between v 0.3 & v1, I am REALLY hoping that I can use v. 1. I understand the reasoning behind using v0107, and I have installed a few basic mods at different times, i.e. I've used other versions of me3explorer.
My question is this, when creating the treescan for me3explorer, do I tell it to scan the DLC so that I can make changes? At one point I worked on installing things, and even though I had not scanned the DLC I was able to access the DLC files that needed replacing via the manual install. I think however, that may have been working with 0108.
When I do get it figured out and successfully install all three mods, I will post my detailed process if it might help others who want to install all three of these mods as well. Thank you guys SO much for your time and effort and your awesome mods. I am SO excited to go through the series again!

Yup, asking here is just fine.
You might be referring to this from Fob?

This thread and confirmation from Ottemis is helpful. Also, I didn't change any textures with CEM. It's only ThaneMOD but I don't think they tinker with DLC textures so that solves a lot of issues.
As a side note, the installer will be coming. And, pretty much the group of us who mod ME3 are trying to work together to get things working better for the users. I'm still testing but there's a new method which is already working with MEHEM to CEM where you just copy a folder into your DLC folder (where DLC_CON_END, DLC_EXP_Pack001, etc) are located. And that's it, I kid you not.
CEM has been locking up in a few places so I'm still trying to figure out how to make it stable but if this new version works, messing with me3explorer or installers, which don't always work, can be a thing of the past. That's the hope anyway. So, back to testing for me because it may not work out; but I'm hopeful.

Hello,
I seem to be having a problem with this mod. I have done the full manual install of CEM and MEHEM to CEM and I was so sure that I had done it perfectly. But when I get to the end my game freezes. MEHEM works just fine, then I skip the end credits and then CEM seems to start OK (It plays the cutscene explaining that it is years after the war and then shows the Normandy flying back to the Citadel). After the cutscene plays, there's a short loading screen and after that it freezes and I have to open task manager and close the game.
I haven't had any problems with other mods I use. Can you tell me how to fix this? Did I install something wrong? Any help you can give me would be much appreciated as I really want to play this mod.

OK, I think I have fixed the problem. I thought I had done it all, but I ran all the TOCbin updaters (DLC_CON_END, DLC_EXP_Pack003 and Base and the one for the main game) and it loaded just fine. I didn't play through the entire dlc/mod yet but that it's loading at all now is a good sign.
I must have been tired when I installed it and forgot to update one of them. xD
