Among other things, the ending destroyed the game's own lore, contradicted events in ME3, made the Reapers look like mindless puppets of a crazy AI, make it impossible to reason with or argue against said crazy AI, introduces the major antagonist in the last 5 minutes, makes that antagonist also the protagonist by suddenly making the story all about him and his goals, gives you 3 options all of which are total s*** and make no sense that endorse either mass genocide, mass slavery or mass rape depending on what colour you prefer and becomes a nonsensical, dream-like series of events where characters do things for no reason.
The extended cut merely compounds this issue instead of fixing it.

Thanks. Reinstalling without the extended Anderson mod fixed it.
Kudos on the mod - that was so much more satisfying than the first time around. Not because Shepard lives, as I would have been fine with my femShep sacrificing herself to wipe out the Reapers, but because it eliminates the ridiculous starchild and nonsensical choices, and the galaxy actually survives, rather than being wiped out by the exploding mass relays. Really nice job - thanks!

Nevermind. I just beat the game for the first time with this mod, and honestly, I started to cry. Happy crying. It's just I worked for so long to get to this point and it was just so satisfying. It left a sense of ambiguity, but the good type. It seemed like, yeah the Mass Relays and Citadel are damaged, but they will be repaired. I loved it. 10/10. Only problem i had was the music, BUT you have the choice to change it, so I thank you for that. Thank you so much.

its not a start child /faceplam its the AI the leviathans cerated. He is there to find an answer to the problem of why do machines and organics always get in to war and destroy everything. He ws the one who created the reapers as a way of protecting both machines and organics from making themselves extinct . It all makes sense and ties everything together,
