Although I generally find "head canon" a dissatisfying practice, I always sort of mentally edited the ending before. I was okay enough with that so that I could still enjoy replaying the game. This, though... this is SO much better and feels more "real", in part just because I didn't invent it myself. Thank you so much!

The Installer is not working, no matter what I do it just says could not find DLC even if I point right to it...

Happy ending or not, my problem was that in MS 2 you had a chance to save everyone (happy ending) or loose everyone even shepherd (not so happy, but dam satisfying ending) which was fine with me. But to bring the ending of such a franchise to the point where I played the game 3 times and every time shoot the stupid star child in the face because the rest of the endings where so retarded made the whole franchise a piece of sh*t.

Thanks for the hard work this must be to bring a loved franchise some badly needed fixing.

Okay I seem to have an issue. Once I installed this mod my game will not start. I get to the resume screen and it just times out. What am I doing wrong?

Are you running texture- or any other mods with MEHEM? This may cause problems and you do need to install MEHEM before adding any other mods.
