In the beginning of the came I killed the capt in the Census office. I am now trying to play the siege at firemoth pluging but to start it I need to talk to him. IS there a way to get him back so I can start the mod? Thanx

You can use the console command placeatpc"character id" 1,20,3.
Usually this will enable you to play on as if the character had never been gone. However in some cases other characters have registered the NPC as dead and resurrecting him/her will not change their dialogue. (Divayth Fyr, King Helseth etc are examples of this).

You can go into the Construction set and bring up the list of NPCs, it won't take long. They generally have spaces or underscores between names. I don't have access to my list here but try "sellus gravius" and "sellus_gravius".
Hope it works.

The ID for Sellus Gravius is "chargen captain" - just to be nice and confusing!

Might I ask WHY you killed him? I do hope it wasn't for his armor...

Well it was the beginning of the game so I took advantage of the glitch, I know that not right. And worked up my sneak skils, and short sword skill right off the bat. You really never needed them for all that much. Plus it was fun. Not to mention you can pretty much punch him forever working your hand to hand and the good part is he never swings back. Just tell you that this won't be overlooked in the future. Thanks for all the help I got him back in the game, not that the siege on firemoth quest was all that good. but oh well it was worth a shot.
