I just have to add that he was probably added to set an example at the very start that not every NPC is really helpful, and it's upsetting at the start when you don't have anything and need gold to buy it, and your thinking if i give this guy this ring i'm gonna get something good. Then he doesn't do squat and then you're upset.
Honestly i didn't even talk to him or notice him at all the first character i started. I thought one of the plugins added him. :laugh2:

I suppose your right, I don't remember that because i don't shop there, Anything i can buy there doesn't stay in my inventory long before i find or buy something better. That would help out when you're strapped for gold.

I like Fargoth. He is my best friend in Morrowind. When I played Morrowind for the first time was Fargoth my best friend. He isn't annoying. When you give him his ring back he shall speak verry nice to you. :cool2:

Engraved ring of healing is only good on the first 5 levels.

heh, I killed the poor guy.. I gave him hes ring and no real reward, so I got mad and killed him lol. I barely escaped from the guards.

Normally playing a Nord Female, it is annoying to have the short poo sidle up to your chest going " we are going to become ...really... good... friends" really ... creeeeeeps ...me... out. You wont believe how many times that happens to me in real life too, being taller than average myself

And the breton girls totally gets a raw deal in their men, when I played a mod that provides a boyfriend I changed the breton to a nord, but hell a lizzard would have been fine...

So I give Fartgoth his ring , the trader likes me better, and then I steal all his stuff including raiding his house. Part of the starting a new character ritual for me , really.
