And I was wondering, when do you ever get to ride in the gondola? I just talked to the person and it loads the next screen. Never have I actually gotten to ride it.

I believe that's from one of the old alpha/beta versions of Morrowind. There's still some like that posted on the official site.

As for the gondola, no, not without a mod.
