Quest for Glory style Skyrim Request for TES6 - Playing what you build

An Idea so Bethesda can see and understand that the Class we make is the Game we want to play in TES6.

In TES6 some Factions should be Blocked Off because during the Character Creation, you set an Option to Not be a Mage and or Thief while you play the Game as a Fighter and maybe as a Mage or Thief or all three depending on your Class Choice.

Ive seen many times in RPG Games, especially The Elder Scrolls Games where People Choose the Class and Character He/She wants to become, but they arent happy with the fact that they are Forced to become a Mage Thief Fighter all in one so the Quest can advance even though they Specifically build a Warrior Class (or set type) Character.

Many Years ago in the 80's There were these Games called http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quest_for_Glory

You could set up your Characters to Exactly that (Only 3 type of Male Characters sadly), then you play the Game where at a point you Cant enter the Wizard of Institute, because you dont know any Magic, so you have to find other means to traverse in the Game.

The Idea

Right after you start Skyrim and you setup your Character, then when you escape with Hadvar or Ralof into the Keep "before you get set Armor" a Menu should Pop Up where you can Choose the Class you want to play as, hence this is the last and only time you can decide what you want to be and how you want to play the Game. Fighter and maybe as a Mage or Thief or all three or just the one.

I dont know if Perk Trees can be Deleted, because the type of Class you choose, should Not raise set Perk Trees through Training or Skill Books.

Not sure if using the Enchanter is Magic Base, hence putting an Enchantment is Magic i suppose and is Needed for Any Character.

I know some places are blocked off until you start a certain Faction to get a Word Wall or a barenziah Stone, but is it possible to Move some Word Walls and some Barenziah Stones so you arent Forced to enter set Guild just for a Wall and a Stone. I think there are Mods for those, but they are Buggy and the Members have Abandoned them.

For the Type of Class, certain Potions or Skill Books or Training or Ingredients or Spell Books or Scrolls or Staffs should not be in the Game.

Fighter: You should not have any Magic or Training or Books or Staffs or Spell Books or Scrolls or Magical Ingredients or Magical Potions or Lockpicking Potions or Books or Training or Pickpocketing. You should also be able to Bash open a Lock.

Thief: You should not have any Magic or Training Books or Staffs or Spell Books or Scrolls or Magical Ingredients or Magical Potions.

Mage: You should not have any Lockpicking or Training or Books or Potions or such Ingredients or Pickpocketing. You should be able to Cast a Open Lock Spell.

Not sure if i want to push the No Sword and Archery on the Mage, since you can just Conjure one.

Do Fighters use Bows.

Fighter Style Character

The Collage of Winterhold should be Blocked Off, with No Quest telling you to go there or having a Conversation about where to learn Magic. Just talking about the Collage should be fine.

Not sure if the Caller and Orthorn are hidden from the Game if you dont join the Collage, because of a barenziah Stone Location.

The Conversation about the Face Sculptor should be Hidden from the Game.

Brynjolf should Not be at the Stall and all Conversations about starting the Thieves Guild should be Hidden from the Game, hence just talking about them is fine.

Not sure if there is another way through the Ratway because of finding Esbern, yet the Quest and Marker shouldent tell you to go through the Ragged Flaggon or ask someone there about him. I know from the Thalmor Embassy theres an Assassin waiting in the Ragged Flaggon, in witch he should be moved so you can kill him in Riften.

The Book Lost Legends should be Hidden from the Game, plus the Amulets and even the Logbook you find from the Dead Adventurer should be Hidden. The 3 Druagr Brothers can still remain, but the Amulets should not be on them.

No conversation about Aventus or Killing Grelod the Kind should start the Dark Brotherhood Quest at all, you shouldent even get a Mysterious Note.

Sneaking and being Stealthy should still work.

Thief Style Character

The Companions should not open the door for you, not even Aela should run to you and talk about their Clan. No Conversations about the Companions should exist, they are just a bunch of People standing outside the Building.

The Collage of Winterhold should be Blocked Off, with No Quest telling you to go there or having a Conversation about where to learn Magic. Just talking about the Collage should be fine.

This Mod by DragonDude1029 is Very Close to what im Requesting, but lets Discuss how Classes could work for TES6 aswell.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48570/?

===============================================================================================================================================

Alternative Class Idea for TES6

Because of the type Class for TES6 where you cant enter the Thieves Guild and or Mage Guild and or Fighters Guild, Hire a Mercenary from a Inn that has those Traits. Now you can simply tell the Thief Companion to Picklock the Chest or tell your Wizard Companion to put a Protection Spell on you or tell the Fighter Companion to kill the Troll for you.

Looking at the Alternative Mods shouldent just cut off that particular Class Faction or remove Quest Items, hence there should be Optional ways to Complete Quest Items like going through a Faction without joining the place or when you Joined a Faction, the Leadership should be handed to the next guy.

Choices to hand Leadership to the next guy like this Mod where Tolfdir is Archmage now.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10746

Giving Leadership to Nazir

Giving Leadership to Vilkas

Telling a Guard about an Abusive Caretaker so you dont have to Murder the Woman, thus the Dark Brotherhood Quest doesent start witch sadly the Mod still makes it happen.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39555/?

Forcing us to Murder a Priest for the Pleasure of a God is Seriously Evil with No Alternatives to just drop the Mace and let the poor guy go, hence a Mod.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21700/?

Boethia and Namira, giving Fake Sacrifices could work if actually done right.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22818/?

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24224/?

If a City and Guards plus Maven is Corrupt, are you seriously not gonna do something about it, its like giving a Thief my Car and tell him to watch it for me while Paying the Police to look the other way.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28880/?

Clearly Paarthurnax is the Biggest Help during the MQ where all Delphine does is Bully and Threatening the Player while Ordering you around.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18465/?

So im a Nightingale for a while, but do i really want to Sell my Soul.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18685/?

Just because i Dont want to join the Faction hence the Class i chose, should still give me Access into a Faction for the part of a Quest and then move on. AKA asking the College Librarian Orc about an Elderscroll.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40430/?

Drop or Sell Quest type of Objects so you arent forced to join a Faction just to know what this is about.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23431/?

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14525/?

Dont make some Quest NPC so Desperate like Brynjolf where he is practically Stalking Me in Begging me to Join the Thieves Guild even after i said NO, part of the reason why People Hate the Faction now.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22365/?

So no matter in Skyrim or TES6 as to what Character Class you choose, Choices in being the Good Guy or Alternative Quests should be available.

Standing Stones should be Part of your Abilities when you choose a Class like it was in Oblivion and not be Stones around the Game

If your a Fighter/Mage Class, then you should have those Abilities as a Battlemage where the Mage Guild and Fighters Guild are available to you and their Quests.

For example, this would be your Abilities and Skill Trees for the Battlemage:

Standing Stone Player Ability:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Atronach_Stone

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Lord_Stone

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Mage_Stone

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Ritual_Stone

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Apprentice_Stone

Skills Player Ability:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Conjuration

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Destruction

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Illusion

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Restoration

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Block

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Heavy_Armor

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:One-handed

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Two-handed

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Light_Armor

If you Just Choose to be a Mage, then this would be the Only Abilities and Skills available to you:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Atronach_Stone

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Lord_Stone

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Mage_Stone

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Destruction

These Abilities and Skills should be Available for All Class Types.

The problem with that, however, is that most people (IMO) din't play Skyrim as the simple mage, thief and warrior archtypes anymore. There's paladins, necromancers, spellswords, assassins, pilgrims, acrobats, conjurers, knights and many, many more choices depending on perks and skills. Blocking off some of the quests would ruin the feel of the game and leave people feeling confused and annoyed. There are SO many ways the game can be played without sticking to the ol' classic thief, mage and warrior stereotypes

I'm all for bringing classes back, but just not how you explained them. I loved the Oblivon style how you could either pick a pre-generated one of make your own but at the same time, I loved Skyrim's freedom.

All true what your saying, since the TES Series are much bigger then the Old Classic RPG Styles of Games.

Your not just set base Class, its much more where in the Classics like Quest For Glory you were just a Thief Mage Fighter.

Still, blocking off Faction Quests is what many wants and argue about IMO. It helps with Replay Values and New Experiences, you enjoy the Game more instead of everything in one gameplay being thrown in your face.

There are those that Hate and Detest being a Thief and Joining the Dark Brotherhood, but being a Fighter and or Mage Spellsword is what many likes.

Yet there are those that find Magic Cheap and Lame, so they prefer to Sneak like a Thief.

In Quest For Glory 2 - 5 there was a Fourth Character introduced where you were a Paladin, so Choices were made to resolve issues in a Peaceful way like Mods such as these in Skyrim that Bethesda dident include.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39555/?

Another thing about the TES Series that People dident like is the fact that you became Leader of All the Guilds instead of Choices to hand Leadership to the next guy like this Mod where Tolfdir is Archmage now and its so cool.

I like that I can set up a build any way I like, I would hate to be restricted or forced down certain paths because of my Avatar build choices...I play an agile Stealth Poisons Archer/Two Handed Light Armored Warrior, he doesn't touch or use magic including enchanted items and only uses Poisons which he creates himself (doesn't use or create Healing or Buffer Potions)....is not a Thief or Assassin, is a Warrior...Your build restrictions would certainly ruin my fun...

Mods such as 'The Choice is Yours', 'Shut Up Brynjolf', 'Paarthurnax Choice Plus 3' and those you mentioned are what I am hoping Bethesda takes notice of...stop clogging up our Journals and let us reject quests with a 'quest failed' or simply not entered into our Journals would be great. And not trying to force us to join Guilds, etc...while doing the Main Quest or DLC Quests...such as the College for the Scrolls, Delphine sending you to speak to Brynjolf to find Esburn, finding out the hard way you can't drop those damned unusual Gems once you picked one up, that Vigilant of Stendarr in Markarth leaving you alone once you say 'No' or your refusal to help Molag Bal (when you tell him 'no') actually registering and failing the quest, etc...That's what I would like to see happen in the next game...not having to rely on Mods to correct the problem.

No no, they Force us to be Evil.

No, they don't. If you don't want to be "evil", then don't join the Thieves' Guild or Dark Brotherhood, or certain Daedric quests. It's as simple as that. Bethesda doesn't force the players to do anything, you can ignore whatever you want and still play the game. You can even ignore the main quest.

Then why get Skyrim at all or the Next TES Game to Ignore Half the Game, you can Destroy the Dark Brotherhood in Vanilla, but you are Forced to Join the Thieves Guild and be a Nightingale by blatantly Selling your Soul that can Only have a Choice though a Mod.

Whats an Xbox and PS3 Player going to do when they want to Ignore Quests with Quest Logs telling them the Next Quest.

Sure i can Ignore the MQ, but that would mean i cant be Dragonborn and do part of the Quests in Solstheim.

Then Choose a Fighter and a Thief Class where you will still be able to Join those Factions, so why say my Build Restricdtions would ruin your fun when im trying to make it Better.

No no, they force us to be Evil instead of giving us Choices.

No, they don't. You don't have to join the Thiegves Guild. You don't have to be an assassin. You don't have to do the Daedric quests. Hell, you don't even have to do the main quest! If Bethesda did implement this for TESVI, it would be a HUGE step back from what they have built up to today. I ignored quests when I was a console player and it didn't bother me that much. Just don't look at the journal and do it Morrowind style, lol.

There are so many ways for a character to play. I had a Khajiit warrior, but he used Restoration to heal and expel undead. I had a Dunmer who didn't touch magic, but was very stealthy, even with a greatsword and was unarmoured. My current Argonian is another warrior, but he uses enchanting and sneak too. How could I do this with the standard restrictions of Warrior, Thief, Mage, hm?
