NWaldinger
Hello all, I posted this in the images section but I'll post it here as well. A friend of mine has created some tremendous models for several Lord of the Rings locations. However, he doesn't know how to import these. So if we could find someone to import these for him that would be great. It would be a real shame to see these go to waste! There's Helms Deep, Orthanc, Azog, and various locations. http://artist-3d.com/free_3d_models/uploads/helms_deepMD.jpg http://klhyatt.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/5.jpg?w=440&h=300&crop=1 Edited January 3, 2014 by NWaldinger
Kraeten
What kind of software does he use? If he uses 3ds max, he should download this exporter. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5622/? Then he'd download nifutilsuite, and use that to finish making it ready for Skyrim. With Nifutilsuite he'd be able to finish converting the model, in addition to applying collision. Edited January 1, 2014 by Kraeten

NWaldinger
*UPDATE* We are looking for someone to import these. If you know how and would like to see these tremendous LOTR mods, please get in contact with me! There's also a nice screenshot of Azog I added ;)
Kraeten
If you can send me the meshes in OBJ format I'll see what I can do. For the architecture at least. Getting a mesh to move smoothely on a skeleton is a bit of a pain, so the Azog model will probably have to wait till much later. Looks really good though. Edit: These models have been UV mapped right? Edited January 3, 2014 by Kraeten

NWaldinger
I regret to inform everyone that my "friend" wasn't being entirely truthful with me or anyone else. Due to some recent revelations made by someone over at the Epoch Games forums, it turns out balrog124 (my "friend") was stealing other peoples' models, claiming they were his, and trying to get someone else to import them. When confronted with these recent findings, balrog124 got very upset/defensive, insisted the models were his, and immediately backed out. I also tried asking for more screenshots to prove that he was the creator to which he got even more angry and claimed he has nothing to prove. If anyone by the name (or similar to that) of balrog124 asks for your help, he is not being truthful. Sorry to let everyone down.. The true author of the tremendous Azog model was a woman named Katie: http://klhyatt.wordpress.com/ The true author of the tremendous Helms Deep model was a man named Niko: http://artist-3d.com/free_3d_models/dnm/model_disp.php?uid=900 Edited January 10, 2014 by NWaldinger
Soolie
It's a shame when people lie about ownership of 3D assets. However I'm sure your friend would still be allowed to continue his project if he were to obtain permission from the real owners of the models :)
