c) If by "installed it using the modder", you mean using NMM, then the problem is that xatmos packaged and posted this mod before NMM for DAO even existed. It needs to be unpackaged and the particular independent .dazip files that you want to use then need to be installed. NMM just doesn't know which of the files you want to use. See the author's instructions and install them manually, or see NMM for how to do so with stand-alone files.
It was done using Da Modder (as specified by the mod creator), and then I double checked that they were in the correct folders.

I wasn't talking specifically about DA, more along the lines of that I've heard a number of friends say that others have been banned for modding on some games even when it only affected singleplayer, and one friend had a support member tell her she would be banned for Sims 2 mods (although I've never heard of said thing happening and I've modded my Sims games extensively.)
