Great. I'll play a little this morning and see what I can find. At 12 the beta of Elder Scrolls Online starts, and I was invited again so I'll be busy with that at 12, and the rest of the day, and tomorrow and the next day. But Sunday night the beta ends, and I'll have nothing else I need to do so I'll test some more then as well.

Alright.

I haven't got a chance yet to try it out.

The ESO beta... had me so mad I wanted to hurt people for real... so I walked away, did something else to calm down, and when I did I got really weak and tired (because I was so angry), so I fell asleep.

ESO staff are all about money, they don't care - and that is why I was so mad. They specifically said they won't fix bugs until they see a large amount of money come out of the project. GREED.

The loot system is uninteresting (compared to Skyrim where it's not perfect but still better than ESO), and the quest reward system is unintersting as well, and you get items from quest rewards that are too high for your level. Also there is nothing in between quests but open world exploration - there is nothing going on out in the wild to make it feel like the AI has any real depth. The game has a lot of content though, as you get past level 10. The leveling process is ridiculously slow, it takes about 10 hours to get to level 10. That's a little extreme.

Horses are RIDICULOUSLY expensive, really high. You can't even hope to afford a horse to get around faster until maybe level 30-40... and I was no where near that.

Crafting was fun, but it was not fun trying to find an anvil that said "Blacksmithing Station" and find a bunch of them that aren't labeled that and can't interact with them. It had me so mad I was doing stupid things.

Solo quests, some of them are impossible, you cannot survive alone - and you're suppose to be able to (they said).

The pre-order's are so messed up... they break their own lore - and if you don't pay the most, by pre-ordering the Imperial Edition, you can't play as Imperial Race. Not everyone can afford that - so that right there is bulls***, and destroys any hopes of a fair game for those that can't afford it.

My conclusion... I'm waiting till a few months after release to see what they did with it, and where it's going and decide THEN, if I want to even touch the game again. I'm done with it for now.

@Ramakgaming You are spot on sir. I didn't get very far at all this beta weekend to figure out that it's a money net. I can't believe they locked a race and the ability to choose what alliance behind a money wall. This is of course with it already being 60 bucks plus a monthly fee. I would understand this money wall somewhat if it were free to play. Again they put too much money into it so it's going to end up like The Old Republic did. Terrible game that I wanted to love so badly. High production costs for TESO in the end could cause it to fail. Part of me wants it to fail for the sack of its horrible decision making on the dev's part. Rant over :). Back to Skyrim!

Have you seen this mod yet? Shadows

I saw it on the hotfiles just now, and decided that I really like it, and wanna see how it'll look with the ENB. But before I do, I was wondering if you'd know off hand if anything could conflict with any of the mods we use? (I use the same mods you recommend on the description)

If not, then I'll take some screenshots with that too, might even be a welcomed addition to the mod list.

It has a version of it there that doesn't touch weathers.

In response to post #11805650. #11808800 is also a reply to the same post.

I found that you have to turn off the shadow caster fix in the enbseries.ini in order to keep it from going wonky.

that's what it says on the description. But I'm going to delve in and check it out, see how it works on my setup and let you know what I find as well.

this mod sadly just not adds shadows, it seriously modifys weathers, flys, ambient liging snow and rain effects and all that stuff. It most likley is incompatible with ESS and i have no idea how it will affect other things yet. Have to go trough tes5edit with it but as is changes major weather conditions it must be set before any of my weather mods. Even then it might mess with the weather lightig too much so my presets i build around CoT and the skyrim weathers wont fit anymore.

Awe... that's not good.

I guess we can't use it then. It is suppose to change casting shadows. There is an optional file that the author says won't touch weathers. I have not yet logged in to test it. I was going to last night, but I got too tired and went to bed. I will test it today.
