there is a major flaw in the article that makes it clear that it is not real. the guy is too well informed about the game. every real anti-something-harmless article I have ever read or viewed shows a great deal of ignorance of the subject matter. it would have been funnier and more realistic if he'd gotten a few things wrong because of his preconceptions.

I'm a Christian, I love Jesus Christ..

I view this as a form of entertainment. And soley that. I'd say the same for music, and movies.

Of course I'm not going to say that about porn, or nudity because of the effect that has on your mind, but I view as a form of entertainment.

Having said that, and that forum, I know its satire, but I know Christians that are like that, its sad. Because Jesus would really care about that...no, he was too busy healing people, talking to people, hanging out with sinners to save them, heaven forbid a Christian do that.

I agree, and an easy target would be the Dark Brotherhood, yet they don't talk about it right off the bat. 'Sides, even if it were fake or real, to me it's still a laugh riot.

What part of "Role-Playing Game" don't these detractors understand?

They fail to see the positive roles in these games like we do. My Oblivion was modded to where you actually received more rewards for role-playing as a good rather than evil character.

Lol it isn't a parody site first of all.
one of the guys in that forum was defending Oblivion and he was banned and it said he was going to be thrown into the fires of Oblivion!!!!(hell, wutever)

Wow... On Internet forums, I tend to remain unbias, but coming from my religious side, these people are overreacting... Of course, it aggravates me when loons such as these try to represent the Religion I've chosen to follow, and they make us all look like idiots...

Good satire, though, but I must admit, if you go to some of the backwoods, southern baptist churches near where I live... You get the same reaction. o.O

I'm not sure which is more humorous though: the people on the parody site, or the people here calling various groups of people (Americans/Christians/etc) stupid and/or accusing them of overreacting even though it has constantly been stated over and over again that it is a parody site.

The moral of this thread would probably be not to judge people based solely on perceived generalizations.

Fundie bashing is just as inherently evil and bigoted as Oblivion gamer bashing.
