On edge, got it. logged. Back up your saved games now as you might lose them. back up your config files to, the document games folder as well. zip them all up and move them out off the drive. have no links to them from any source.

Any digital compressed files  / the mods....move out or to another location but in one spot for quick access. Thing about me is, when I get on a roll, I don't stop. Once I have the needed information, I am that avatar you see before you.

Ok, the board contains built in graphics. As I thought.

Next, I need this information (GTX 660Ti 2GB) exact specs and version ID: #

"Not sure what "Pwat" is?" Power supply wattage

Sorry for my delayed reply. Since you suspect my hardware is the cause, I've re-installed the mods in the same order, re-patched, and everything is back as it was.

Before you facepalm and say to yourself "Why did I ever agree to help this guy". Please know the following super-noob questions come because I am not just new to modding SKyrim, but PC Gaming altogether. My PS3 died and took a 160 hour Skyrim save with it, and I built this computer and rebuilt SKyrim specifically to get into the modding scene in hopes to make that replay of 160 hours not feel so... boring - LOL!

So, here are my concerns...

I still don't know how to properly back up everything. I tried once and that went horribly wrong. So I don't make a mistake, would you mind guiding me on the back up process? I don't care about my save. I still haven't had a stable enough game to have a serious save. My inis are in the c drive of course, but my game (within steam apps folder) installs to my D drive in a "video games" folder.

Power Supply is Corsair CX600 600 Watts

yes I can teach you easy. But  I still need the Graphics card data too. It's important. So far, what  Isee here is this, depends on that card, you Either have 3 graphics outputs or 4, one set is lintel, while the other set is  ?Nvidia/ Gforce/N AVGA Gforce. etc.....

and the only thing that the game actually uses is the d3d9.dll and it is supplied by 4 sources depending on the arranged settings of all of this.

I have 4 choices of " ( *.dll's) " to choose from and the packages to recommend to you to install to make it all happy and nice.

The mod files: I don't have those stored on my Hard Drive. After they're installed via NMM, I delete them. I assume if any data is lost, NMM will no longer be able to manage my mods if something is lost now?

Graphics Card : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 3.0

Driver is up to date with version # 332.21

I have a LOT of mods you have, but what I find missing in your list are the patches for SkyRe compatibility. A LOT of your mods are supposed to have patches for SkyRe.

Balbour and Steelsoul's ReProccer project (Immersive Armors, NONPLayerFix and Dragonborn patches): http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/27092/?

SkyRe Compatibility and Reproccer Patches (for some of your other mods): http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/48629/?

correct, it will attempt to re-download them I assume as I do not use it.

ok, round up, the above edited spoilers contain all the numbers about your rig. You have way more rig than I do and over kill for games.

That being so, when the machine Boots, is it booting off of the card? or the onboard graphics?

see, the hardware device manager and check to see if you have any unresolved issues.

IF that system is booting from the onboard bios and graphics cards data, your extended card is not getting along with it as you have the wrong drivers for the main board's graphics dis[play running.

it's complicated with that setup. the resolutions / screen size is being dictated by what device?

@Chan: Actually, I have all of the correct Skyre patches. Everything changed in the past couple of weeks, as Hothtrooper updated Immersive Armors to v7, and that third party now handles all the newer SkyRe patches. In the description of the SkyRe patches, you'll see it indicated that balbor's esps shouldn't be installed anymore. Thanks for chiming in though, Chan. :)

@Kitty: I don't see any conflicts in device manager. The only thing listed under "Display Adapters" is my GTX 660.

ok then see how it goes, the last post I made contains the results of the research into your rig. you do know you can run that game without that video card, right? and I bet if you plugged in the HDMI cable to your monitor and removed the card, you might find new devices never once installed. AKA, missing data. the board came with a cd right? or not...

but. just try it as is. all I can do is point out where  i see a problem. At the moment, you see none. but I do. and it's a hardware issue.

I will keep an eye on this thread for you.

Thanks Kitty.

If I understood your post correctly, you want me to remove the GTX 660 and plug into the board directly to see if it installs necessary items, and then reconnect my graphics card and see if I experience better performance?

Sorry... But a lot of the stuff in the spoiler tag in your previous post is a bit too technical for me. I don't understand how or what I need to change. I don't even know how to back up properly, which I assume I should do before trying the above? Sorry I'm such a dumb-dumb.

start/ control panel/backup and restore button, select the correct feature requested, point the destination "hopefully " off the main drive, NOT C: drive. and select what you want backed up. I would just choose the system and windows/programs . I have no idea how much stuff or space you have. I use USB extended books, External hard drives for all of mine.

once backed up, then the answer is correct, that's exactly what I wanted you to do and then update all of it first, in the VGA ports seen in the above shot, Just bellow it is the digital out put.. the long one. that is the device / new device your going to want to use for gaming.

look at it this way. IF you still have problems with the game, you now at least have a plan to check and see.

when and if you decide to try it ,treat it as if it's all brand new, and use the standard VGA port first. go through all the ropes as far as the standard version device drivers allow you to go., then switch out the connection points to a higher grade system. the larger port.

the bottom line here is , after you do all of this, the game, and the system will have all the software all the equipment may ever need. all registry keys will have what "Direct -x and the games engine are looking for.

Never settle for less, always get it all first. you are not dumb. in comparison, we are the same, it's the tech that is out of our reach, tech exploded these last ten years faster than we can absorb it all. I have been down this road too many times to count.

on a side note: I could tell you to just drop in a dll file , a fix for Intel integrated graphics chip-sets hosted here on the nexus, but, it would be like a fish out of water , no supported software exists on your system. the link is in my signature if you want it. (Intel)

that board I have seen out perform the card your sporting, Just the main board. what you have there is users choice.

there are 4 stages to do.

  1. remove card, connect VGA cable, boot. allow to settle and update, install need software for that/reboot.
  2. run the system and see / notice performances.
  3. now, connect new device cable , your VGA adaptor to the Digital connector and reboot. install it's required software and drivers.
  4. update it too./ reboot. scan windows update at this time and see if they had fixes for that boards drivers. BUT, you choose, don't let it do it automatically. test and run the game afterwards. and you still have the HDMI cable to go yet

now, if you like how the Original machine was designed to operate and the Equipment provided , you may not install / reinstall that card.

but, there won't be any need to update drivers for that card as they are already installed and will pick up right where you left off.

how ever. if doing this, you learn something about machine capability left to rot due to being in a hurry to get the game up and running.

it's normal. every one does it, even I do it, but  I do choose a time and place to go back and redo things and find out if my investment was truly worth the caps I laid out. You may even find no need to fix any mods too. that's the hope.

kitty.
