I had to vote Shortsword since the Dwarven Crossbow is not listed. Gawd how I LOOOOOVE my Dwarven Crossbow. Now if bolts were as common as arrows I'd truly be a happy camper.

One particular sword for me - Lilarcor. It's a modded two-handed sword available on here in the downloads section. He talks, and comes up with some rather humurous comments and also upgrades with use, so starts off roughly equivalent to a steel claymore and ends up roughly equivalent to a daedric dai-katana.

I have to ask again...

Does anyone use the throwing weapons as opposed the bows? I mean they do pretty sorry damage... so what's their use? Do they have really high enchantablity?

actually they arn't that bad their purpose is to use over shorter distances as they are quicker and more accurate that a boe over short distances. lots of times I'll be shooting this guy with my bow from a rock then he'll run right up to me just out a reach and all of a sudden my bow can't touch him. break out the darts and everything is ok again.

a 'target' spell and a good longsword, what else
my fav to shoot at a weakness to shock & paralize, then get it hammered down with my shocking longsword
i don't like ranged weapons, because i have to retreat while using it

Yo0u forgot the Dwemer Darts you get from the archer bots in the clockwork city, there ace. Throwing wepaons are good for putting your marksman skill up and weigh less than a bow with arrows which may be a consideration.

I always go longsword myself (although argonions with spears are characterful as are staves with mages). Couple that with a Daedric bow (prefer it over the dwarven crossbow) and its cool.

However the chitin bow is the suckiest weapon in the game, very lame, don't bother.

personnally, im a bowman. but i hate the cost of all the arrows i mean you need to buy at least silver or glass arrows to be effective and you need heaps.

In the beginning of the game, I bougt like 30 each time. now i have to buy 200 evrytime i do a quest. AAAAAAAAAGH

ur right though Pob chitin stuff does suck, but it was really, i think, only intended to introduce you to cheap armour, until you get more money. but the bonemould stuff is good 1-30 i think, but what good is a plain bow i like to have them enchanted. OOOH YEAh

I use iron or steel arrows and keep the silver/ebony around for when you need something that steel/iron just bounces off. Iron arrows are cheap and you can get 100 free (and they respawn after time) in each fighters guild chest if you are a member. No sense in wastong an ebony arrow on a cliff racer, decent strength and iron arrows do the job (also the longer you hold the key down the harder you hit exactly as with hand weapons)
