Hi, just wondering why are so many guys making women character in the game(it may be a offensive topic to some,If it is please remove it)

When ever i play oblivion (or any other game) where i have to create a character, i try to make it as close to me as possible, as i consider to be my second life away from this boring life.

But i have seen that guys these days are making more and more women character. why is that ?

Varies by individual. (I'm male). I don't like to play male characters and never have by choice, generally. If a game has female characters to play I will almost always pick a female character. Not necessarily because I want to stare at a scantily clad female all the time but it generally suits how I want to play any given game. (My oblivion female characters do not wear skimpy armor).

You seem to associate your character with yourself, if I thought my character was me I suppose I'd make them male then but I tend to enjoy the game less when playing a male.

Some people its strictly eye candy, which I must say is a nice bonus. ;)

That's a really old question discussed a thousand times and also has a thousand answers. The most popular is that male players don't want to look at some guy's back all the time. You may try to search for those topics here, there were at least several.

I play as both. Le gasp!

It's much easier to make a good-looking female character though, imo. Also, there tends to be much more armor designed for them.

Why does it matter? It's not like you're going to hit on someone based on their characters or anything.

Yeah, me too. In equal proportion. What can I say? Preferences.

It is interesting to play all sorts of races, classes, birthsigns, and play-styles, so it follows that it is also interesting to play both genders. If everyone played characters that were as close to being like themselves as possible, I think there would be very few people playing as Argonians.

Well, I'm male but I play female characters MAINLY for the eye candy bonus. xD

Honestly I began playing Oblivion starting off as a male, but all the males were difficult to make good looking as I honestly CAN NOT IMAGINE A DREAM GUY. -_-
But then I tried creating a female character and to put it simple it was a lot easier to imagine my dream chick :P Rather than A DREAM GUY! -_-

So, yeah, mainly for the eyecandy I guess.

Then again I like playing rogue characters, and some custom races have different base stats depending on their genders, and often the female has more Agility than the male and the male has more strength than the female, so it fits my imagination of a rogue how they are supposed to be. Not tall, sneaky, fast, agile and if possible as good looking as possible. ;)

However I do play male characters if I simply want to create a berzerking brute, but at those times I use mods that give me races that are ugly and intimidating not to mention down right scary, that way I won't have to bother trying to make them good looking! And if I can't hide their faces I just use a mask to increase the fear factor! Such as the famous WITCH KING from LOTR. That's a scary appearance I would rather not see in my bar!

In the end it's all up to each individual. Their tastes, their imagination of a character, Their imagination of a warrior, and what you like to stare at when you use 3rd person camera view.

AN HONEST ANSWER FROM ONE WHO DOES IT FOR THE EYECANDY! ;)

I only play females, because Id much rather stare at a female's rear....that and I'm obsessed with the female figure. Its just so beautiful.
