Volume 1 got me into Aphex big time too, Volume 2 I think is awesome atmospheric music, listened to that album lots when reading David Eddings Belgarion/Mallorian series and it just worked

I think vol2 would work well using this mod, and Moby's little Idiot bonus CD to Animal Rights :D

oh and btw, I installed this, then spent an hour or 2 creating a music omod off all the downloaded music from this site, and compiled it so they automatically drop into the relevent BMS folders.... and it works brilliantly!!!!

Loving it lots Thanks :D

Tried BMS and it seemed to work but it caused my camera to get skippy and jerky, especially when I mouse over a CMpartner and their scripts run also. How may times per frame does your scripts and keyboard scans run? Once per 5 seconds would be the max for this type of mod I would say.

You probably need to lighten the load IMO

I have detected the same slight problems which other people have been mentioning. Anyways, fantastic update, I also have a slight "request"...

Is it possible to add a "Paraside" folder so that we can choose what kind of music plays in Mankar Camoran's Paradise area? I use the well-known mythic dawn quest mod so I have access to that place again but... It would be cool if I could use my music expecifically for that area.

Thank you, keep up the good work!

@sirandar

Yes you are right, I reported the stuttering to side after upgrading from 1.2 to 1.5 along with a couple other issues. He is working hard on the mod but it doesn't help when people don't provide much information..

BTW side recommended the Oblivion Stutter Remover plugin, worked a treat for me, but you are right and I'm sure things could be improved with BMS to lighten the load. Again he is working hard on the mod, just remember it is still in development. The more information people provide the faster things will move along. :)

@Hewhothinksnothing

What do you mean it has issues with songs not playing? Please be more specific.

@gfox25

Hehe hungry for more playlists eh? I suggested a castles playlist to side, although I'm not sure exactly what to put in it since I have grandiose type stuff in the public folder.

Think of some places where you would like a playlist for and suggest them here, you never know you just might think of somewhere that's been overlooked. :)

Castle Playlist sounds quite nice, for sure! I am going to suggest -another- (cough) playlist for the Imperial Palace.

Since the modder will be overwhelmed by these playlist requests... I wanted to ask if it is actually possible to make them ourselves? Perhaps a small tutorial is in order? I don't want to be annoying but I am sure such a thing would allow the modder to fully focus on minor bugs and stuff while players are free to add their custom playlists.

Just my two cents.

@Magirock

Well only side can answer that question, good idea though.

Just so you know if there is a playlist you aren't using you can use that playlist for another area with the phonograph. Make sure the playlist switch is disabled in the ini and place a phonograph in any cell you want to use the playlist for then activate the phonograph and select that playlist.

So for example if you aren't using the storm playlist you could use that for music somewhere else, select storm with the phonograph and it should play the music from your storm playlist. :)

Suggestions for playlist locations hmmm. I would say all the vanilla oblivion unique locations first. Some that come to mind:

Dungeon types (ayeleid ruins already done):

Caves
Forts
Mines

Towns (To give each city a unique playlist to match the look and period it was based on):

IC
Bruma
Skingrad
Kvatch
Leyawin
Cheydenhal
Bravil
Bruma
Chorral

Respective castles/palace/districts for the aforementioned towns

Unique locations from DLC: Such as the Priory of the Nine

Shivering Isles (general plane)
Districts such as Bliss, Crucible and Sheo Palace

...well you did ask ;)

Also Magirock's suggestion is a great idea as it would allow for custom music to be set not only for vanilla cells, but new cells brought in by mods as well.

So, I drop it with shift-click from my inventory, i activate it, the menu comes up, then I choose a playlist, and then nothing. The previous music continues. The playlists which work normally do not work with phonograph. What did I f****d up?
