You know that the music in games is supposed to be lossless, right? That's why they use WAV files and not mp3. The reason for this is lossy files will lose quality when they're copied to the game, making a much more compressed sound unlike the original recording. Plus, lossless just sounds better. Does this have compatibility with WAV? I didn't understand when I dl'ed it that it was just intended for mp3 files it seems... would be a great mod if it was compatible with lossless formats.
EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot Oblivion only accepts mp3. That sucks.
Ok so what I've run into before with installing mp3 files to the game is that their quality degrades horribly. I can't tell maybe this is the game lowering the bitrate to its standards. I don't think it has to do with copying the files because I've backed up my data folder tons of times and the music sounds fine. However, when I added mp3 files from my music library a while back, their quality just sounded terrible compared to the vanilla music, which was strange.

I wish people would make more plugins for this. I tried, but I hurt myself.

The software you linked, "Id3kill" is no longer online. I recommend replacing the old link with this: http://www.ghacks.ne...d3-tag-remover/

To anyone who is experiencing the broken music in the Cyrodiil worldspace, you need to have at least one song in your explore folder or the playlists will not work.

For me the combat music continued after combat and didn't change until I got to a new cell, so I uninstalled it. Is there a way to fix it? Sounds like a good mod otherwise since I've always been annoyed on the fact that combat music starts even before I see the enemy.

Great mod good work :-) I'm loving it and will endorse this file!

It is hard to setup though, one little mistake and things can break easily, so i thought i'd share what i ran into myself. As to the mod maker, i understand your frustration with people who dont read the readme, but truth is, its easy to screw up on this one, also with the readme so give us abit more credit :-) Tip to users: follow the readme EVERY step really you should because it's info is right!

The problems i had:
First of all i had the crash immediately after load. This has actually to do with EMC, but the solution -for me- was run OBSE as Admin. (Tell windows who's boss :D) That's on win7 32-bit.
Second problem i ran into was that i had an 'active movie' window popup and oblivion minimizing, album art showing in the active movie window. The problem was i didnt use ID3Kill the first time, and after i used it it still happened. Cause was, media player creates an album art hidden file in the mp3's directory on playback if the mp3 has a tag. After removing the tag, the previously generated hidden album art file was still there. Again, you have to tell windows who's boss and show all hidden content in folders so you can delete the album art.
Hope this helps, hope you can enjoy this lovely mod :-)

Great mod, if it wasn't for the huge performance loss. It actually almost halved my framerate so I had to uninstall it.
