Shiny Clothes and non-glossy skin

Hey guy
I am a newbie
I was making clothes for my PC
It turn weird when it shows up, it is all shiny and not cloth like, and not even silky
but my PC's (chocolate elf with oil 1 selected )body turn dull
I try to copy others' work or data in nifskope and change some number in nifskope
like the NiMaterialProperty and I have try update tangent space, smooth normal, make skin parti...what so ever
It does not help
Any idea?
My textures were self-made using and following the CSWiki page "custom cuirass"
I use GIMP to packet a tga file and use DDSconverter to make it a dds

Oh yeah I will have my screenshot ready in a minute

suggestion for improvement will be great

If any more information is needed please let me know ...coz I am a noob
don't know much about texture and nifskope

thank you but I am following the guide already...
If possible..can you show me how to make it less shiny...
I have tried to use a 7x7 filter and a smoother texture, it still gives the same result

Change the settings you are using. Blue areas in the normal map reflect light, if its too shiny in game then you will want more transparency in your normal map. Try changing your alpha channel settings.

i ususaly do this: before creating the normal map i change the brigtness level to very be very dark and then i set the color to alpha to black (like that tutorial says i think. When the normal map is applied it is much more transparent and thus isn't so shiny in game.

I almost fix all the shininess on my clothes
but what about the skin?
Other Mod won't make my skin to a dull color

And also
I downloaded Bigger Double Melon-BDM
when my PC goes naked her upperbody and the rest of the parts become colorless
what I mean colorless is that the upperbody is using UpperBodyFemale.dds in characters\chocolate\female\UpperBodyFemale.dds
not like others' upperbody mesh which uses footfemale.dds
and when I tried to fix it by going to CS and change the race
make it use the footfemale.dds by default, it work, but I assume that I am not suppose to do so

Any idea how to fix this ?

hmm,
i'm not sure if i understand you,
but if you use blender, it might happend that the nif exporter scirpt merges body materials together with your new armor materials. In this case both the body and armor meshes will use the same material witch is not good at all and can lead to problems. Check the console while exporting from Blender to NIF. If you see the message that some materials are merging together, just slightly change a setting in your armor's material. I had your same problem and this fixes it...if i remember well.

here is my 2 export screenshot
the two skin merging together should be ok because one of them is the chest the other is the ankle
the upper is everything that has red the lower is blue and yellow parts
if you need more information, pls let me know
me and my friend both have a problem with weird skin display while having our custom made clothes on
the glossy or oily skin became dull and dark
if you need to see my file I am more than happy to provide it if that helps
