I can't wait for this, Skyrim is easily the best game of it's kind I have played. Wish i had some skills to contribute but sadly I don't.

I got to say my PC cost about $6k and it's worth every bit of that cost.
No I didn't get ripped off.
First I'm in UK and it's a sad fact that components here are about double US prices.
It's annoying but we must deal with it.
2nd that includes
3 x 27" 2560 x 1440 Monitors @ $2k
2 x HD 7950 Crossfired @ $1k
which I chose over a single Titan which was days old last year and @$1.5k was not as good as the pair of 7950's.
Asus Sabertooth Mobo, i7 CPU unlocked with Cosair liquid cooling, 16GB memory, Asus 7.1 sound card, Corsair C90 mech keyboard C65 Mouse and case, W7 x64 Ultimate (W8 was 10 x cheaper but 100 x worse), 1200W PSU (OTT but expansion of GPU ready).

Probably missed something but my head memory isn't made by Kingston.

Can it run heavily modded (400+ Plugins) you bet it can.
What can't have that many, yes you can Merge Patching is your best friend.
Bet I crash all the time. no but it does take a lot of work and even with Sheson's memory fix + ENBoost.
You must work at it, Check Skyrim Revisited by Neovalen on STEP to see how (his methods are the real jewel learn them and apply to any mod you use).

You don't need a kickass rig just for Skyrim though it's 32-bit engine is old and tired (Next will be 64-bit at last).
Consoles are a joke now beaten by a low range PC.
Once they were the best you could get at release.
Better than all PC's.
No more and it's not the components but power.
PC with same components needs 1000W to run at max gets 1000W.
Console needs 1000W but will only ever get 300W always limited.

Always will be as more power = more cooling = Bigger Box = PC.

Simply put consoles are Last Gen not Next Gen.
It's why they are becoming Media Centers. That is all they can be.
Check Star Citizen to see real Next Gen.

Even modded 32-bit Skyrim beats them.
Add on the premium game price paid over the lifetime of the console and they are more expensive than a PC as well.
As for game exclusives I can wait until PC release or even longer and get for 10% of console price and get bugfixed version as well. Same Game and fixed for the win.

Beyond Skyrim is a piepdream that may never happen, however it is a piepdream made of sections.
Bruma section is on the way then just look for the next section.
Section by section the pipe can be made into the dream.
I'll take whatever sections arrive. Dreams you do that I'm to busy enjoying that expensive PC to dream. I dreamed of that for 4 years saving for it, now it's playtime my dreaming's done.

I hope the 82 in your name isn't for the year you were born. Writing skills of that caliber at that age is an unfortunate thing.

If you're having issues w/ the way the game is running, You can't say it's the fault of the game when so many other people use the game "heavily modded" and don't have the issues you describe.

Firstly, spending 6K on a rig isn't a magic button that says games should be pure tits on here, no matter what you do. You could easily spend on high end components that do nothing to make games play at higher settings. Supposing you did spend the money on all the right parts, it is still possible for your rig have other things going on that effect the performance of the games you play. For all anybody knows, your computer is riddled w/ malware and viruses and that's your problem.

Though, supposing that also is not an issue... How you go about modding can cause a slew of problems if you don't know what you're doing. It can be easy to have just the most wrong combination of incompatible files making your game unusable. The difference between how Fallout 3 performed for me when I first got into modding and how Skyrim tends to played for me more recently is night and day. I can still mess up mod orders or cause some un-fixable bs to happen and feel the need to start from scratch. I, and I'm sure many others have back up folders, w/ all the main game files and a few essential mods for when I want to do that very thing.

And seriously, I've had this same computer since back when Fallout 3 came out. Cost me around $1200 and I've only replaced the video card once, for just over $200 but you can certainly drop some money on those things.

1) I'd be in favor of a quest that involves a new emperor of Tamriel, who is *drum roll* another dragonborn. o_O I don't think it would be as lore friendly to have an Argonian or Dark elf, etc become emperor. (EHR MA GERD RACISM!) He/she would more likely have to be a nord or imperial, w/ a plausible link to the Septim family line.

Second, why not combine the two? Have the Thalmor strike when after the events of the Skyrim civil war and dragon crisis getting immediate control over huge sections of Valenwood, High Rock, etc. Then.... YOU ... the DRAGON BORN... are summoned to meet w/ the emperor of Cyrodil. You get the relevant response from whatever outcome of the Civil War (thanks for helping the empire, or we're willing to recognize Skyrim if they align w/ us against the Aldmeri Dominion). That's when the fun begins. Epic and furious campaigning to utterly and completely smash the Thalmor and the Dominion!

The old Emperor dies in the process and some way somehow the new dragonborn emperor is found. Don't know where at but we're gonna find em.. it's gonna be GREAT!

Really, I'm sure the writers are some talented folks. I know the people behind Falskaar are handling part. If they do actually completely much, any, all of it, there will be at least a fair amount of decent writing and voice acting.

Erm... Wow. Please toss out that 6k piece of junk that you obviously got ripped off on. Please do a little fact finding first as well. Bethesda tends to lead the pack in their open world games and (though they have a few glitches) actively listens to it's customers and fans and damn near bends over backwards to make them happy. For the love of the Nine, they ever take cracks at themselves by having their own company building in Fallout 3 amidst the ruins of DC. (I thought that was funny as hell.) No game, NO GAME, will be perfect. These mods are fervent fans and respect the game enough to want to add to it and leave a footprint of respect. if you can't see that, then you can't and I'm sorry that you think so basely.

If you can run vanilla Skyrim, you should be able to run Beyond Skyrim.

How is that project going anyway? (I'm new to mod-making but I'm learning...slowly....ultimately in hopes to lend my hand with creating stuff!) I absolutely love the idea of this whole thing and wish it success.
