I've really wanting to get back into playing this game after along absence, and I chose alot of mods to add some more fun and I'm having trouble with load orders and FNVEditing I've done my best to fine what works and fix it but I'm in need of help if you could look over my load order and tell me what can't go with what to get the game to work I would be much appreciated The game crashes after the first screen. I have made merge patch and tried master update but it did not help and the merge did not fix all of the conflicts

this is the load order I'm using

Firstly, the game must never be run with more than 139 active files. You will need to let go of at least 180 mods.

Secondly, grabbing mods like it's Black Friday, not bothering to read thoroughly each mod's description and learn of any conflicts/incompatibilities - is a bad habit.

I think I just found a new record. 318 active plugins wouldn't load in the game engine even if it worked properly, but 139 is the limit for New Vegas because of a bug as Jazz mentioned.

I think I can guess how that happened: NXMM.

I think NVSE might address that plugin limit issue and allows up to 255 like the engine is supposed to support, I've had up to 206 without problems. I've since merged many things and removed some redundant plugins and reduced this to 149.

318 is definitely way too many... and yes you need to read all the readme's and descriptions for each mod you want to use and check for compatibility problems as well as patches to address such things. Even then some mods will conflict or override things from other mods. If you want to really run a ton of mods, you'll need to learn to use FNVEdit and Wrye Bash to get everything working together.

It doesn't.

I highly doubt the veracity of this statement. Unless NVSE 4.3, new versions of NVAC, or new versions of NVSR fixed the memory offset purely by accident, there should be some obvious in-memory data corruption.

Setting up a (correctly) working LO is certainly more involved than it seems from a point-click-download-install perspective. A good metric to follow is not to install anything that doesn't seem absolutely necessary to enhancing gameplay in a manner that you think it needs to be enhanced.
