If you can't get Oblivion to run, don't try jumping through hoops. It should really be a three-stage process. Uninstall all Oblivion files (including DLC and mods), then reinstall Oblivion (clean - no additional files), then run it. If you have a newer OS and that's messing it up, I had the same thing for months. My Windows 8 PC couldn't even read the disk. I installed a bunch of Microsoft "game" updates and I can now run Halo 2 (PC) and Oblivion. I still had some issues with installation, so I tried running as administrator of my PC and it worked.

If that still fails, try running in compatibility mode, and/or using a different graphics driver. I believe this might help because I updated my graphics driver 4 months ago and it messed up a bunch of programs. It took me 11 weeks to figure out that I needed to go to my 'NVIDIA Control Panel' (I right-clicked on my desktop to find it - weird huh?) and change both the global settings to use my new "High-performance NVIDIA processor" as opposed to the "Integrated graphics" or "Auto-select", and change those settings for some of the individual programs because they may not actually choose the correct one (their settings chose the integrated graphics instead of "use global settings"). Some of the programs can't use the better one because they're locked, such as iTunes and Microsoft Office programs.

Anyway, I hope that helps because it looks like you spent a huge amount of time working on this mod, and it would be shame if you can't keep working on it.

PS: for those who don't know (that's everybody I guess), I am a modder on the steam workshop for Skyrim - my username is mysteryman3 - and I played uncounted hours of Oblivion until Skyrim came out, and have done 1357 hours of Skyrim and 526 hours of the Creation Kit. I'm currently doing a games development course and I hope to be in a company by the middle of next year. With my rapidly improving skills, I hope to be making many new mods for the nexus and steam.

Yes, and what I do whenever I want a "clean" copy of Oblivion; delete the main folder after uninstalling the game in Program Files (C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion).

I simply love this mod! Though sadly after much fun and console editing of my stats, I've deactivated the mod altogether, because after switching to monstrous form and back, maxed skills were severely crippled, along with many attributes. Generally down to somewhere in the 30's regions.
I got tired of maxing them back up again through the console, and started a new game. I've got to say, I'm missing it already.

Everything so far is working great, That i have tested anyway. However i had to turn off sunlight weakness completely the hit to str and carry weight is just too much.

How do you start cure vampirism quest with this mod?

Anyone else having problems sitting down with this mod? I'm trying to sit down and talk to Baurus during that one quest, but whenever I go to sit down, my character gets stuck. Disabling fixes it.

That console command doesnt work. Im stuck in the dream in darkness and a few other people are and NOBODY has answered how to fix this. I only have MMM and OBMM. Those are my onlt script affecting mods, eveything else is just an add on. Do i have to disable MM to get this to work??

So i have this problem when i make a new character, or when i just go in to my old character, i dont get the item thingy that makes you so u can modify the mod, please help
