Ok I got Morrowind a while ago but Have only recently decided to play it. So I install it to my system which is:

AMD Athlon XP 1600+ Processor
728Meg DDR Ram
NVidea Geforce 3 Ti 200

Latest Drivers for the GeForce. Now heres my problem

I put the CD In and get the splash screen asking me what i want to do. I click play game and get the Bethesda Softworks Video and then the Loading Screen, it loads all the files flawlessly it seems then as its about to show the title screen I get the error message

"Music Error: Can not play file. Data Files/Music/Special/morrowind title.mp3"

So I checks that folder the file appears to be there. So I reinstall again with the Tribunal Expansion and then run the patch for it. Again I get the error. Now a few weeks ago when I played it the game worked but now it won't. Has anyone got any ideas to what could be causing the problem and how I can fix it.

Just in case you needed to know my copy of Morrowind is legally owned. But we got it free with the NVidea GeForce 4 Graphics Card (Which is in my dads pc  )

I solved the problem. It wasn't a hardware fault nor was it a fault with the CD. It didn't have anything to do with the fact it came with a Hardware bundle. Its was the fact that Microsoft Windows Media Player seemed to have lost its MP3 Player Codec and needed to redownload it. To which then I had to set MP3 Default Player to Media Player.
