Onoska
When I'd load up my save game the initial load used to be extremely fast, just a few seconds. Now its around 20 seconds. When I'd press enter to wait it would wait instantly now it takes around 10 seconds.Entering cells used to only take a few seconds and that too takes much longer than it used to. EDIT: Saving was instant and that now takes over 10 seconds I found out my save file is about 30 Megabytes, and I was wondering if that anything to do with my much longer loading times. If so, how to I decrease the size of this save file? And if not, I still want to fix these long loading times. I just really want to go back to the fast loading I used to have. My laptops Specs: Two 500 Gb hard drives 8 Gb of ram Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU 2.2 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M I have all the DLCs, including the free HD one. I have the most current game version. I use SKSE, NMM, and I use BOSS LOOT to organize my mods. Edited April 15, 2014 by Onoska
Skyrabbit
You should post your mod load order. It will help people check for issues. If you have lots of script heavy mods (quests etc) or high res textures they will slow down your loading times. If you have removed any mods then you may have problems with 'orphaned' scripts. These can often be sorted out by cleaning your game save. Try this- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?

Skyrabbit
You should clean the update and dlc files. Also replace wellcave.esp as instructed by boss. Then try removing some of the less important mods, if they are removable, to lessen the load on the game. Follow their uninstall instructions. Then use game save cleaner.

Onoska
Okay so I got the required patches for realistic needs and diseases, and I deleted wellcave.esp But how do clean and update the dlc files? Onoska
I deleted mods, I updated my mod order, I cleaned my update and dlc files with TES5edit, and I cleaned my save with the save game script cleaner and... nothing changed. I thought for sure all of that would fix my long loading times. My save game file is still about the same size. What could the problem be?

I guess the next logical step is to go through single mod to see which one may be causing the problem.
camaro_69_327
""My laptops Specs: Two 500 Gb hard drives"" Laptops are notorious for using slow drives. 5400 instead of 7200 that Desktops get. Skyrim loads a ton of stuff in the start of a save load. Make sure you are plugged in, and none of the "Power saving " features are turned on. INFO = TMI.. :smile:Also, I am not quite sure what "Add:Delev, Relev" means <<<can of wormsSince you opened the can.. Those are Bash tags (to put it simply). Wrye bash is a mod manager. With it you can create what is called a Bashed patch, the "tags" tell Wrye what to put into the patch. Delev = Delevel and Relev = Relevel . Using the tags, Wrye can make all those mods work together, Without the bashed patch..what ever mod is loaded last is the winner, because you can not have more then one mod change the same record. Yes, I only use Wrye bash, it controls all my installs, (308 at present and i am not done), it also handles my load order (121 ESM/P), and my saves.! Goofy things to try...Spin a 360 before going thru a load door...Open the map (make sure not in local) pan in all directions, close, then try a load door.Download the mod to remove the menu smoke...Open the console and type "PCB" without the quotes.....Smack side of Laptop<<<<just kiddingOhhh and if you are capping your Frame rate, try with it Off (no cap)If using an ENB...disable to test. Edited April 16, 2014 by camaro_69_327
