frienemy
Hello everyone, After my CTD issue started, I looked everywhere for a solution but none of the already-discussed cases seem to apply to me, so I am making a post. I really hope somebody here can help me out. Also, my understanding of modding/scripts/etc is rather shallow, so please bear with me :) So, I did have a bunch of mods installed when it started:All DLCs + unofficial patchesClimates of TamrielSkyUIiHudEnhanced Blood TexturesSkyrim Shadow Stripping FixFrostfallRNDRealistic predators & animalsWater FountainsWet and ColdImmersive Patrols Everything was fine, until I decided to save my game inside castle dour. After saving, I went back out into solitude (without crashing yet), messed around a little, but exit out of skyrim without saving.I fired up skyrim again after a couple hours, loaded my save(castle dour), and stepped out of castle dour and into solitude, and the game crashed right after the loading screen between castle dour and solitude. I kept trying, and it kept happening. So I tried uninstalling my mods one by one(precisely following uninstall instructions), and tried to get out of castle dour each time I deleted a mod, but I kept crashing everytime. I uninstalled all mods except for SkyUI, iHud and Enhanced blood textures, simply because I doubt they are the problem (let me know if i'm wrong). Thinking that the save file may be corrupt, I loaded up a save game from before I started modding, using skse loader (skyui, ihud, enhanced blood running at this point). And here is the weird part. When I fast traveled to Solitude, I didn't crash. But when I went into Castle Dour and tried to come back out to Solitude, I crashed again. I tried running Skyrim using NMM instead of skse loader, and the same problem kept occurring. I have also tried waiting 10 in game days to reset cells, but I still crash when I try to get out of Castle Dour. Does anybody have any idea what the problem is, and how to fix it? Please help!
