IIJOSEPHXII Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 I have none of the flying insects that go to make up alchemy ingredients in Skyrim. IIJOSEPHXII Posted April 21, 2014 Author Share Posted April 21, 2014 I have found the culprit by uninstalling all my mods then reinstalling them one by one. There were insects in my game until I installed the unofficial patches, and it is the unofficial Skyrim patch that was doing it. The unofficial dlc patches won't launch the game on their own without the USP, and installing USP on its own makes the critters disappear. The mods I re-installed prior to the USP were graphics mods, so it could conflict with one of those. They are: Realvision ENBaMidianborn2K texturesELFXsuperior rocksAudio overhaulClimates of TamrielReal cloudsrealistic water twono snow under rooflanterns of skyrimSMIM So I guess I'll have to do without the unofficial patches - are there any foreseeable problems with that? So I wonder if the problem is a load order or incompatibility between another mod and the patches. Could you copy/paste your BOSS log text file?(To answer your question, though, as the unofficial patches fix numerous bugs, the main side effect of not using the patches is increased bugs and glitches throughout the game. VictoriaG Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 I was just looking into this issue myself, thanks for the tip. Yes i have confirmed it's the newest patch here on Nexus that is causing it.
